There are, of course, other ways she could turn out.
Bungie has always loved their AI's though, and I'm hoping that Cortana plays a larger part in the story this time rather than just being an irritating voice in your head, as per Marathon.
Anyways... not quite sure why I'm writing this other than to say, I love my AIs, and hope Cortana plays a huge part in this latest iteration of the Halo series.
To those of you who don't get the title of this thread:
[*]Leela-- Heavily damaged in the initial Pfhor attack, she nevertheless does her best to help and guide you until she is eventually destroyed
[*]Tycho-- Destroyed in the initial Pfhot attack, later resurrected by S'pht compilers.
[*]Durandal-- Rampant AI who manipulates and taunts the SO. Most interesting game charachter ever.
Posted by: Sk1ll4x3D Um....Man I wish I'd played Myth...despite what I know about Halo, there's a huge void in my understanding of the back, back, back plot... *brain collapses*
First, this is Marathon, not Myth. Second, You can get all the Marathon games for free (legally)! I think Cortana is going to be more like Durandal than the others in the end.

I hope for none. I hope she doesn't go rampant, doesn't die, and finds some way to lengthen her life span. It wouldn't be right, I think, to kill her off. It wouldn't be Halo otherwise.
Posted by: kolten77 Since I can't help but think that the Cortana letters do in fact tie in with the events now conspiring in Halo I'd have to say she is becoming a Durandal of sorts.
I, too hope so.

The controls were kind of awkward but it was fun enough, I never finished it though.
source.bungie.net is the site, I believe. I haven't gotten around to beating any of the games yet either. The game is so much fun but I usually forget half the story and since the story is actually interesting, I start over. I usually just stop after awhile and get sucked into another game.
Link doesn't work. Why not Bender? Leela is nothing compared to his shiny, majestic, metal ass. (Futurama rules!)
