Halo 3 Campaign Screenshot Inside
They say "Pictures are worth a thousand words." So, what's a new Campaign screenshot worth then?

I see nothing wrong with it, it looks amazing. And the in-game screenshot cameras take the pic at the resolution the game is running at. In this case, it's 720p HD. And yes, Crysis does look awesome, but it's all in the visual style. Crysis is going for realistic, Gears is going for dark and gritty, and Halo is going for a more cartoony feel with lots of reflections, etc.

Its good but u guys fuked up a little look at the hand on the trigger.....he only has half a pinky.LOL. The rest of the pic is nice though. and Venomous is right there is no reflection get over it and go cry on ur pillow [Edited on 07.06.2007 8:16 AM PDT]

Second, why do you fan boys always refer to things as game killers? Mario is considered killed by any of todays standards but try telling that to the millions who still turn on their NES just to play a couple minutes now and then. If a game is fun (which varies from perspective to perspective) then people will play it. If i want to run around and splatter people with a ghost then I'll play halo. If I want to chainsaw someone I'll play Gears. No person who would be gaged as logical in these times would go smash either disk if one didn't appeal to their immediate likings. EDIT: Sorry my hatred for game bigots took the thunder of my post but otherwise a great pic Bungie, I really hope these jungle scenes unfold into some great jungle maps in game. I would hate to see a potential thicket of maze like shrubbery prove to be nothing more than pretty visuals on a flat open map. [Edited on 07.06.2007 7:48 AM PDT]

I think the reflection in the MC's visor could be an explosion. Any other ideas? edit: btw, it's 07/07/07 tomorrow, is bungie gonna do something special?? There will be a huge halowars update though... [Edited on 07.06.2007 7:04 AM PDT]

All the sony fanboys are cracking it. They are all saying "has bungie seen killzone graphics" they are all the same it makes me sick. They always refer to that fake video that everyone thought it would look like, awsome pic too

Master chief looks alot like the beta spartans, but that's not a bad thing at all... it looks like the lighting has been gotten a great enhancement on MC it's not too bright or too dark, his visor looks amazing. But most of all the terrain looks beautiful!!! WOW there's not much more I can say it's just amazing.

That pic is absolutly beautifull. anyone with Graphic complaints now? I hear crickets... And also, did anyone notice the smoke in the background? if you haven't seen it look over the MC's barrel of the Assult rifle, its not comming from the gun, but from the forest behind him...um...setting as desktop background. I agree with hylander, this shot of the Chief is absolutely breath taking. In some ways, I think, better than the E3 announcement. The old Chief was grainy...discolored. THIS Chief is smooth and shiny, Cant wait to see my co-op buddy standing next to me on a full screen HD monitor, Over system link that is.

If anything I think the assault rifle appears to have slightly superior lighting then in the actual trailer. Also take into account the chief is in a completely different environment witch appears to not be the sun baked Mombassa backdrop you see in the trailer so obviously the lighting conditions are going to be different and a little softer, As well as having different colour pallets for the environment altogether. So as far as I can tell (as I said) to me this is the exact visual detail that was present in the trailer. If you examine the shot more and compare hopefully you will see what I mean. In the announcement trailer, there was a really bright sun, so the details and bump-mapping in the armor were brought out more by the self-shadows. Other than that, its basically the same, and even higher-res in some aspects. The AR, for one, looks much better.

GOOD GOD! if that is not the finest piece of Master chief graphics eye candy the world has ever been graced with, I’m not going to even begin to speculate were he is in the campaign or why he’s there, all I no is that is some dam fine visuals right there, lighting, textures and draw distance all superb!.
