Although I personally have no problem with playing games (Borderlands 2 is my new favorite), I still pause a second when sharing that information with friends and family that aren't gamers. Nobody wants to open up about something their passionate about and feel ridiculed by their peers. I'm sure this is the case with all sorts of hobbies, not just gaming.
