Story on Digg.com that may have a connection to the ARG [Links inside]...
[b]Notice:[/b] I realize that there is some negativity that tends to crop up around threads like this one. I'm not trying to jump to conclusions, but realize that I've been seeing these images floating around the Internet for the last few weeks more commonly than I probably should, and I've become curious. I hope that if we contain our input and questions to this thread, we can have some fun with this without being interrupted or shot down so quickly. This viral campaign is a very asymmetrical one, and I wouldn't count anything out so hastily.

I don't know if this has already been stated, but after looking at the pixellated image from 27.com, it just hit me that I remember seeing this about a week or so ago. It was from a story that I saw and commented on that was on the Digg.com homepage!

The 27.com crap came from crap from Lyca and the associated numbered sites as 27.com came from a stupid assumption by someone who got an email back from topcola.com, the maker of those sites, with a reply of "3^3." Bungie has stated several times they have no affiliation at all with Lyca or those sites and it has nothing to do with Halo 3. This thread and all similar threads to 27.com, Lyca, and 7749.com and similar sites needs to die! Only AdjutantReflex is important and he is here on Bungie.net.

If that's true, then I'm with ghostvirus on this but I don't plan on flaming as that won't get anything done. I'll just leave this thread now.

Given the situation, all I did was share what I knew and thought to be pertinent to the matter. I don' think it constitutes forum spam as I believe it does hold relevance to what's going on, at least on the surface and given Bungie's past knack for stirring inquiry, and I don't think in a moderator's words that anyone should be blacklisted or banned because their judgment and curiosity led them somewhere that someone else might not agree with. I didn't see Shishka even mention 27 in that thread. As such, Lyca is yesteryear's news and isn't the subject of this thread or the reason why I started it. I think that with the things that are going on right now -- and its clear to all but the most blind that Bungie is involved with some viral marketing campaign for Halo 3 -- this thread and the others on topic deserve the benefit of the doubt and should in fairness get a warning or some say from a moderator before being taken care of. Bungie allowed discussion of lyca.com during ilovebees but lcoked the threads in 06 when no ARG was present and no game was being close to release. Why does bungie allow this discussion? It hypes the game which studies show increase $ inflow. Since Microsofts game section hasn't exactly been raking in money the past 6 years (infact every year they've lost money) they could use all the extra $ possible. There is no connection between this lyca.com ring of ARGS with halos ARg unfortunetely we will ruin the real ARG if this continues. When AR complies all the archives i have a feeling this ARG will kick into hyper drive. Hopefully next time the Ar thread won't be spamed by people who don't understand role play , people refering to a discussion they had with a fake AR on im and unrelated sites like lyca.com. Edit : Agreed i don't think you had bad intentions in making this thread either. Based upon what ive gathered you didn't know the orgin of events and you weren't aware of bungies previously stated stance. No harm done and sorry if i got a little rilled up. It's cool omgwut. I was shocked yesterday too. I read through all that stuff about AR then for some strange reason I hear about lyca and then 7749.com, which AR never mentioned. Then all of a sudden for some reason the entire community assumes it is another ilovebees even though it was all based on a suggestion of one forum member who no one considered could be wrong, so everyone bought into it, which led to them buying into this 27.com crap today which is false too as its connected to lyca, which Shishka said over a year ago has no relation to Halo 3 or Bungie.

You guys jumped the gun and have not given enough time for AdjutantReflex to reply or for the 38 hours to expire and instead tried to extend the ARG yourselves to something completely off topic. Just give it time and we will learn more from our new friend. He will return to us so just wait for him to come back.

OMFG Okay, I started a thread recently in which I was researching lyca.com, and the dot-game websites, and TopCola. I found that ALL of these websites are managed by Top Cola Inc, and were all connected back to a guy named Matt Asher. He is the person who runs ALL of these websites. He has tons of other websites [quo.org, violetasher.com, asherdomains.com... and many others] including a spanish-forum, and many other sites in the spanish language. The funny thing is, he bought the number-game domains from HIMSELF. He runs the webpage for sevent.com , a domain selling company. Go to sevent.com and you will find all of the domains used for the game on there, and there are several triple-digit, and a few double-digit domains on there as well. The big kicker is that 27.com is on there, and I ran a whois on this website... Guess what? Also created by none other than Matt Asher himself. I am thoroughly confused as to what this connection means. Did anyone know this? Does anyone know what it could mean?

I can clearly see what looks like "su", "pa/ba", "ki/gi", and "pu/bu". Or at least what seems to look like it.
