Are there any? And is there an American anime that actually looks similar to.the japan ones?

1 ReplyI hear My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is pretty good.

>America >Anime Pick one and only one.

Avatar.

2 RepliesMy opinion is OP is a faggot.

2 RepliesYes. They are called cartoons. Anime is made in Japan so it is called anime while here in N.A we call the ones we make cartoons. Also to any idiot so is going to try and call me out, go and learn about the damn subject. There are thousands of styles when it comes to cartoons made in Japan but they are all under the anime name because of where they were made.

The Boondocks and Teen Titans are prime example of a mix between the American and Asian anime styles.
-
Anime is a Japanese style of animation and I would say that the closest things we have are the Avatar series, Teen Titans, and a few other cartoons which emulate the Japanese traits of animation with American animation.
-
Both Teen Titans and Avatar are inspired/influenced quite a bit by it. Avatar is certainly the better of the two though.
-
Last Airbender or Teen Titans is probably the closest you can come to "American Anime".
-
There used to be. But the twenty five of you who watch anime never bought them.
-
Teen Titans is a lot like an Anime, it has the exaggeratted expressions and even chibi, hell there were even episodes with the intro in Japanese.
-
Well, since anime means japanese animation, that notion is impossible. Now there a few anime influenced cartoons out there.
-
Avatar The Last Airbender. You can't really decide if it's cartoon animation or anime. The debate still goes on till this day. I consider it an Anime!
-
The new Thundercats? Maybe?

Spongebob

1 ReplyThe Last Airbender is probably the closest you'll get.

Getting tired of space, big robots, high school drama and random Japanese mythology?
