So I'd love to host a bunch of Game Nights in my groups...

...But I suck at throwing them. So I thought I'd appeal to the Bungie Community at large for advice. What do you guys do to make your game nights successful? There are at least two or three private groups that I'd love to spur activity in, but I am hesitant to take the initiative when my previous attempts have mildly resulted in failure. In particular, I find setting a solid time and date that everyone can meet at to be rather difficult. Do you just set a solid time and date and hope people show up? How lenient should you be with adjusting the event if people say they can't make it? Do I just need to schedule the game night super far in advance? It seems to be my biggest difficulty, though general advice would be super helpful. Thanks in advance, hopefully we can all learn something from this.

The game nights I've hosted can be about 3, 4 or 5 hours in length.[/quote]It depends on the crowd of people you're playing with. I can't have people join at 7pm and expect them to play until 11 or midnight when most of them have work/school/kids for the next morning. If it's on a weekend sure, but keep in mind that people do have other things to do. If you host them more frequently, say even once a week, that one hour won't seem so short. That also keeps it informal. If you're hosting a tournament or something and have 50-60 people playing with multiple lobbies, that's a different story.
