So I'd love to host a bunch of Game Nights in my groups...

...But I suck at throwing them. So I thought I'd appeal to the Bungie Community at large for advice. What do you guys do to make your game nights successful? There are at least two or three private groups that I'd love to spur activity in, but I am hesitant to take the initiative when my previous attempts have mildly resulted in failure. In particular, I find setting a solid time and date that everyone can meet at to be rather difficult. Do you just set a solid time and date and hope people show up? How lenient should you be with adjusting the event if people say they can't make it? Do I just need to schedule the game night super far in advance? It seems to be my biggest difficulty, though general advice would be super helpful. Thanks in advance, hopefully we can all learn something from this.

I'm in Japan so please post times zones too :)
Posted by: LordMonkey OT: Like everyone else said, Friday (or weekend) nights, long periods of time, and I might suggest having hosted lobbies by time zone.
LM is right on here. Furthermore, I would try working with a small group at first and then gathering more later. I used to tutor Statistics and I would work with one person at a time. After a while, word got around and I held study groups of 4-6, then 6-10, and after a year or so I wrote practice tests that more than 100 students would use and I would go over prior to each exam. Start small, form a core group of reliable individuals, and then build your mechanism for world domination from there. Good luck! JTS
