Halo 2 Playlist Update & Stat Reset
Tonight is the night for the long awaited Halo 2 Xbox Live Matchmaking Playlist update and ranking reset. Tombstone and Desolation will be required for some of the playlists and if you purchased them before Monday, 5/7, you will need to download them again before you can play online. Both maps will become free in early July.

i dont got a credit card on my account i got a pre paid card i am so pissed tht i can not download the blastacular map pack i did b4 and now it deleted them about 3-4 weeks ago and it wont let me down load them it says purches failed. you will not be chared for this transaction. please try agin later. i mean really bungie wtf u r letting ur biggest fans down wtf.

I'm getting this same crap, as well. I try downloading the maps onto my new, fresh Xbox 360 Elite and it says 'Purchase failed.' I really kind of want to play Halo again if you don't mind Bungie. HELP!

Bungie: you need to keep your dirty privacy invading fingers out of my xbox. if you guys tried this crap on pc users, you'd get endless grief. too bad console gamers are morons. the very idea i cant transfer a purchase from one xbox to another is totally retarded. i just tried to download the maps just a few minutes ago and they siad that it fialed to bill my credit card. WTH!!!!! this is getting really annoying cuz i am a huge fan of the games and the books and i cant participate with my friends online. ps Go Red Wings!!!!

its dumb that rumble pit is not ranked anymore beacuse that was hard to level up and you would rarly ever see anyone cheating in it. There isnt any FFA gametypes that are ranked anymore.

I just downloaded the maps for the first time last night and they didn't work. So i've tried again about 5 times and i'm still getting an error that says the content i downloaded is damaged. i can play the maps in split screen, but i can't get into matchmaking, because it says I don't have the maps. This is a little annoying...

WTF! Half the people I play with, including myself can't redownload the new maps again! I would like to be able to play, but it looks like the same issues as before!

Thanks SNAKEEYEZ, I tried checking my cc twice now and I still get the same "Failed to download" BS, I'll keep trying. = / If I dont have the maps by the time the Halo 3 beta comes out I will be making a call to MS and get my $4 back, and I dont really care about the 4 bills, its the principal of the thing!

so explain why the stats were reset and there was a socalled "banhammer update"? seems like a waste of time to me. ive already been cheated about 5 times in doubleteam by like level 7s. nice job on that banhammer guys! either that, or its just a terrible yellowbar host. i dont understand why the worst connection gets host in almost every game. GO to your XBOX 360 dashboard, account management, and check ur credit card. then save it, then just back out and then go directly to the download section and it should download. This should work, u go to your dashboard, then account manager, edit credit card, just verify it's all there, and back out of it, immediately load the halo2 game, and dl the new maps, i was having the same issues, then this worked perfectly for me.

While im happy that the stats have been reset and the new maps added to the playlist im one of the people that downloaded the new maps befor the 7th. i tried for 3 hours last night to redownload them and it will not let me any ideas why DracunKing17

the new matchmaking playlist sucks. rumble pit was the only time that your rank relied on you throwing constant grenades to kill ppl. i was never a fan of btb but it was nice to bring that up every once in a while with a ton of your friends. the maps should NEVER be free because u just screwed over all of us who paid b4. why charge us and make them free 3 months later but not be able to even use them to 1 month later? way to go bungie. im still going to play snipers because its the only thing left that actually requires skill for a rank but you ppl -blam!- up. and am i the only one that things tombstone is garbage for sniping?

When the Blastacular Pack originally came out on April 17th, I had no issue down loading them. But now I keep getting the above error! I tried last night (May 10th) about 20 times and thought well maybe traffic to download is high since they have just been re-released again, but then the day they came out last month I didnt have an issue, so seriously? What is going on? Bungie or MS please address this NOW! We are approaching 1 MONTH that these maps have been out, we have PAID for these maps, WE should be able to play on them by now! I tried again just a moment ago this morning (April 11th) and still the same message from above pops up, it doesnt even seem to try to download either, I press A to purchase (and I really better not get charged again!!!) it instantly goes to the error message to try again later. I will try again when I get home from work I guess. I have never been one to -blam!- and complain about this kind of stuff, but c'mon!!!!! [Edited on 05.11.2007 6:46 AM PDT]

Halo 2 Now Sucks!!! Way to turn the best product on the 360 to CRAP! Where should I start, Oh Yeah let's limit the playlist for matches, most now not ranked. It seems when I was playing last night the cheaters got better (as if they needed too) well maybe just more previlent (I though Bungie was working on a better filter for that). Reseting the levels before the beta of 3 comes out! You know right when your winfall is about to come in Bungie you turn your product to crap. Now I'm not sure I'll get 3! Bungie WAKE UP!!!!Oh, YEAH I ALMOST FORGOT THE MAP LOAD ERROR!!! WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP WE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE. Hm, well I couldn't download them from day one and still can't. it keeps saying failed before it even starts the download, so I'm not sure what's goig on there. All I really want to play is snipers, but I can't now and everyone just quits out of custom snipers. All I pretty much play is custom games, the basic 8 FFA Mid or lockout, battle rifle start, blah blah. And then the odd 4v4 games. But as for the play list on matchmaking, I tihnk it just went down hill, not being able to play over half the play list because you don't have the maps is insane. Not to meantion the fact that half the gametypes in the selction are dumb and no one likes SWAT. You want to play SWAT, play it in a custom or something. Don't waste the MM list. Mt thought of a good MM list is this. Rumble Pit. Ranked: (BR START ALL GAMES AND GOOD MAPS, smg sucks...) Rumble Training: Unranked. (for people who are just beginning and or just want to chill and play the game. I use to play it a lot. ) Team Slayer: Ranked( I honeslty don't see the point of this, because it's mostyl SMG start, but whatever it was still fun.) Team Training: Unranked.( For people and teams to just mess around and not worry about their rank, if you're into that sort of thing.) Team Snipers: Ranked (Definitly one of the better game types.) Snipers: Ranked. ( Haha, I just threw that one in there because I like FFA snipers. =P) BTB SKRIM: Ranked ( As long as it's not -blam!- and have crappy game type, it's all good to me.) Team Skrim. Ranked ( Same thing as I said before. ) Team Hardcore: Ranked. (Fine all good as long as they take KoH out of it.) Rumble Hardcore: Ranked (An old game type, but it was fun. Yea, I know you can just play a custom, but for people who want to see what level they can get to in FFA or just want to play with new people and the same people all the time, it's good or if people are not on to play a custom. It's a good BR warm up,) 1v1. Ranked. ( A LOT of people love 1v1 and might like to play against different people and see how good they are instead of play a custom game all the time, Just as long as they get the settings right. Bungie must be familure with MLG I hope. ) Some off to the BTB Slayer for nubs who just want to mess around. =P so yea, that's my idea of a good play list. You all may trash it if you like. :) This is all comin from a female gamer. :P Bungie should make it some how if you still can't dl the maps, that you should still be able to play the games, but avoid the new maps, like it wont load or something, Some sort of crazy think (BTW, the new maps suck anyway. :) [Edited on 05.11.2007 6:01 AM PDT]

This is LAME, aside from the fact that they didn't put out a disk for the new maps most people i know can't get the maps. As I don't have a credit card. I pretty much only played halo 2 online for team slayer and sometimes BTB as a break for it. looks like i'll have to join the trend in progress and just play team training matches and just quit out of the not slayer ones. So sad... and i finally started playing again after my rage at that cheaters video documentry.
