Myth: The Fallen Lords and Myth II: Soulblighter

Myth: The Fallen Lords and Myth II: Soulblighter are some of my all time favourite games and it’s time to pay little homage to another of Bungie’s Greatest Hits. This howto intends to assist the reader in getting a copy of Myth, and getting the most out of the experience. However, I am not a fountain of myth lore by any standards – I would appreciate any assistance, pointers, corrections and help that you guys can give.
This Guide is broken into 8 sections, and due to the character limits enforced on posts, I’ve had to place each chapter in their own post. The chapters are:

You did not give one single concrete example of why Halo 2 is worse than Halo 1 and thus a bad game. Neither did you really state anything more than "Halo 2 is bad". I finally found what I was looking for on that site. Thanks for the help Tex. I also have another question. Where can I find copies of the Myth 1 and 2 soundtrack? I know that Bungie was selling it awhile back but I can't seem to find it in their store. Is it available for download somewhere or is there another site that is selling it? I downloaded the Myth 3 soundtrack and it's sweet.

For a free, fun, and often full myth 2 server, go to www.playmyth.net I no longer play because I have a bad modem. Still my favorite all time game. Then halo:ce of course.

I own Myth 2 also. I had no idea that you could download Myth 1 levels for it. Are you able to view the movies that come with Myth 1 also? I always thought that the best part about Myth was the storyline and it would be kind of pointless for me to play it without the briefings and cutscenes.

Is that the only way to run Myth 1 in Windows XP? I tried the site but I guess they only have a beta version out right now and the beta is up so for now it's useless until they finish it.

I tried installing Myth 1 on my XP system and this is the error that it gives me: Myth does not have enough free memory or swap space to launch. Try closing any other applications you have open or freeing up more hard drive space and trying again. I have a P4 3 GHz 1 GB RAM 180 GB Hard Drive Space so I don't think that any of the above problems is the real problem. Anyone know how to get Myth to work in Windows XP?

Well, as another fan who has enjoyed these games for over 6 (possibly 7) years, it's still safe to say that I think the Myth series (1 and 2) are very much so the best RTS games ever, and easily tied as the best games I have ever played. Sure Halo is good, but it is nothing like Myth, and the Myth series borrows a lot from fantasy that I like - Wheel of Time, Lord of the Rings, and common mythology. I love these games, they are on my computer, and I will always have them. [Edited on 3/15/2005 7:16:50 AM]
