I got this from another thread. Okay, so why the Spiker? It is a lightweight killing machine with a fast melee and short reload time. Also, the Spiker obscures less of the screen than so-called “skilled” weapons such as the Battle Rifle and Sniper Rifle. Thus, with a Spiker, you’ll be able to see your surroundings just a little bit better, and that could be difference between life and death. On the same note, players see other players with ARs and BRs all the time. When you’ve got a Spiker, you’ll be a more intimidating image, and your opponent will most likely be less accurate when shooting you. What mathematical/physical support is there for this argument? The Spiker holds 40 spikes in a magazine, while the BR holds only 36 bullets per clip. However, it is essential to remember that the BR fires in three-round bursts, limiting it to 12 “burst-shots” per magazine. The Spiker, on the other hand, offers complete control over how many shots you want to put into a target. The spikes that successfully hit will stay in the opponent for a limited time, allowing you to accurately judge how much shield they have left and take action from there. At a greater distance, the spread of the spikes increases tremendously, allowing a single player to drive back an entire team. By putting a few spikes into each opponent, the opposing team is open to be ambushed by your teammates, who may or may not be using the Spikers that they spawned with. Is this true?
