So when i hear that halo3 will only play the higher standee on the "elite" 360 it means that i have to yet work my butt of again for maybe which once i finish will there be another update or new console after 12 months. It is more the so harder with these workers agreement contracts in Australia which make it so some like me can by law only get 8 dollars an hour until I'm 18 then until I'm 21 i cant earn more then 11 dollars an hour so i work really hard for stuff that ends up getting outdated real quick such as the 360. I'm just wondering why bungie should even be considering making halo3 better on the elite 360 which i think in Australia isn't even out now when in truth this upgrade is a betrayal to us who got the normal 360 first up and were told it was next gen which is what the elite360 is now. Any how this halo3 update is still cool and good job bungie on doing the new halo2 maps even though there were some flaws. If you dont like what i wrote then don't reply. [/quote] welcome to the real world dude, i dont' want to sound like an a$$ but you might as well stop your cryin, because its only going to get worse. if i was you, i would be gettin my 360 fixed before i went out and buy a new one that you really don't need, your 360 will play H3 just as good as the elite will.

We were simply describing the setup we use in our test lab. You don't need an Elite for 1080p, just cables and a compatible TV. There are some 1080p capable TVs that won't accept 1080p over component, however. " (posted in the weekly update) this was posted by bungie so even with out the elite u will be able to play Halo 3 just the same on the 360 as 360 elite about the freezing - any game system can freeze exspecailly a system that uses disks and oblivion has sooo much in it its hard for the xbox to handle, my brother almost overheated our xbox 360 while playing the game for too long about the 360 being to much like a computer - if the xbox 360 wasnt like a computer it wouldnt have the power to play any new type of game also i have a question is there a set date when the playlist update and ranking reset will happen [Edited on 04.30.2007 2:18 PM PDT]

I have purchased the maps but when i go to the download screen the bar becomes completely full. As though it is done downloading, but then a screen pops up saying "installation failed, contact xbox,com". I own a 360 and hope this gets fixed soon....i cant wait to try these maps out

anyone know when they are planning on doing the playlist update? i downloaded the maps and they were alright. but now im just bored and dont play anymore, im just waiting for the playlist update.

One other thing 1080p sets usually run at about 1000$ more than a 1080i set. There only good side is that they are hard shoot in the head from behind, but then again if you shoot them they always turn around anyway because that is the general reaction to being shot. Other than that they are really easy to shoot in the head from the front, they are shorter than a spartan, they can easily be killed when they jump, and they are so compact i can shoot them in the head when i am actually aiming at there foot. SPARTANS ARE THE BEST.

uhm isnt the only difference with the elite is its black, and it has a bigger hard drive...and you can buy the hard drive for your original 360 seperatly? and as for the bubble shield you can still run inside of it and kill the people, just not from the outside...its not some invincible machine. It has to. They need an equivalent for the carbine, which, along with the BR, frankly isn't much more useful for combat except killing Brutes. And thats in Halo 2. I dont think they would be able to do that while arming, but that doesnt stop everyone else from standing next to them so the grenades and rockets can't hit them while they are arming. I see the shield being a problem. Sounds cool for the game, but not really for multiplayer. Hell, I'm just hoping they got rid of the Newb combo. But since I dont really think the BR is going to be in this game, instead a newer version of the assault rifle, this may or may not be a problem. But oh well, there is always the spiker, and the needler is supposed to be better now also, or so I have read.

I'm just taking a guess, but im pretty sure the reload button being on the bumper is to make it faster when playing. Plus you can reload seperate weapons when dual wielding. Sounds like bungie is on to something if you ask me, and as for the talk button being on D-pad, I'm sure you'll be able to customize the button layout. They have given that option in both halo 1 and 2, and they have mentioned that halo 3 will be even more customizable.
