Did a little research on Bravo's new job
343 Industries is looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for creating and perfecting online multiplayer experiences. The qualified candidate will be responsible for working with an existing design and sustain team to help maintain and support Halo's existing multiplayer experiences, as well as the future implementation of new experiences. Additional responsibilities include hopper management and synthesizing community feedback and player data to inform gameplay recommendations. As a member of the Sustainment Team, you will get to interface with community members, designers, Franchise Management and test teams, so legendary communication and organizational skills are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Sustainment Team to maintain multiplayer experiences by recommending optimizations based on community feedback and player data
- Work across several additional teams to ensure quality
- Provide regular formal and informal matchmaking updates to the community across multiple channels
- Maintain a healthy relationship with the community and its varied subsets
- Represent Halo and 343 at community and industry events
Bravo has a Computer Science degree for those who think he's unqualified.
Posted by: CrazzySnipe55 Really? What experience does he have in the field of game development or management?
That is not what the position requires. Read Chemical Envy's post
How could he possibly understand the casual perspective?
It's competitive multiplayer; there is no casual perspective. Even if he were given complete control of playlist settings (which he isn't), he wouldn't turn the game into "1 gun, 11 arena maps, BR starts". If you watch his content you'd see that he wants the game to favor all kinds of gamers and offer the most optimized settings. As another gentlemen said, he is pro-Halo, not just pro-MLG. You biased MLG haters are all so quick to jump to generalizations and stereotypes. He is not a playlist overlord. [Edited on 12.06.2012 8:50 PM PST]
