Bungie Weekly Update
Most of the [i]cool [/i]info was revealed on Tuesday in the Multiplayer Vidoc, but here's some stuff on matchmaking and more.

Only playlist I can actually play against people my skill level without having team members ruin my fun is now unranked?! =( Viva la ranked Rumble Pit!

Yeah, a little disappointed at the removal of ranked BTB games. Also, shouldn't it be called 6v6 like the old playlist. Oh well, I don't play Halo 2 much anymore anyway. Hmm...seems you guys have heard about the complaints of paying for extra playlists and upped them to 4 without the new maps. A decent update I guess. Seems this one is mainly just to clear stuff up. Thanks anyway Frankie.

I don't post here much but this update is worth it. Thank you very much. In the words of Borat... high five! I was wondering why I kept getting dumped back to stage 1 and why I was actually winning for once. See it does pay to play honest.

Great update! But if the Chaingun IS a new weapon, then what would that mean for the balance of the game? Will it be like a suped-up SMG but with less accuracy, higher rate of fire and larger magazine capacity; and does this confirm the plasma minigun the Brute chieftain was holding in Et Tu Brute VidDoc as the Covenant's own version? The source for both miniguns are at: _5:17 min_ in "Et Tu, Brute?" for the Covenant minigun & approx. at _0:23 min_ in "Is Quisnam Protero Damno!", JUST AFTER the explosion you can see the Chaingun in the hands of the jumping blue spartan [Edited on 04.17.2007 2:46 AM PDT]

It appears that I was correct when I decided which ViDoc speculations to consider true. The post-map update sounds awesome. And so does the Beta. I knew you'd mention something about the landing in the water scene, by the way.

Sweet! Hey Frankie - I have a question for you. You say currently that the shield generator does not roll (which makes me sad, because I thought it was really really cool how it rolled and bobbed downhill.), but in the forums today Achronos said that he likes to dump it in the man cannon to send it mid-field. Does that still work?
