Bungie Weekly Update
Most of the [i]cool [/i]info was revealed on Tuesday in the Multiplayer Vidoc, but here's some stuff on matchmaking and more.

Sweet! Wait a second, only one BTB playlist with mixed slayer and skirmish with only 5 to 6 players O.o No ranked Rumble Pit too... whatever, sounds good to me.

You said we only saw 2 x-button things, the trip mine and bubble shield. Then was the grav lift built in the level, or is it another "piece of equipment."

I am extremely unhappy to see BTB and Rumble Pit unranked. Making these playlists unranked automatically discredits them as being serious, or, generally speaking, fun. If you can't make both ranked again, I would love to see AT LEAST rumble pit keep its ranked status. And I hope the community agrees.

Don't you guys think that it was a little disappointing to see how the bubble shield finally looked? I mean if you compare the vidoc to the tv commercial, the one in the vidoc looks big and awkward to me. [Edited on 04.13.2007 9:04 PM PDT]

Muahaha, the return of Big Team Battle! Finally, something you can do with 5 people! Wort wort wort. And quit saying crap like "first page". I swear, this forum is like a rotting carcass and 500 flies. I know everybody signs on at whatever time the update is posted just to get the first page post.

What i found that no one noticed was something important. 1) [18 sec in] There is three spike grenades, A red one one the far left. two grey one's in the middle. 2) [20 sec in] 2nd row from the right in the scene when there are medals on the guy's LCD monitor. Looks like new medals. Maybe for the laser gun. 3) [23 sec in] The 3rd deployable item is a personal gravity lift. (look closely when the spartan jumps up to the guy on the turret) 4) [24 sec in] The chain gun may have been pulled off the stationary turret for a temporary amount of time. 5) [40 sec in] On the right LCD screen, maybe a new covinet vehicle to match the ATV. 6) [1:06 min in] All visors are green in dark area. 7) [1:32 min in] Far left LCD Screen, Looks to be a sort of tunnel or highway. 8) [2:41 min in] When it says game type, it says escort and the map is warthog Inc. 9) [5:10 min in] Looks to be a red/orange needle it the head of the guy on the far left. 10) [5:20 min in] Far right and left object in back near wall, maybe a boundary turret b/c it is rotating. 11) [6:27 min in] Top left screen, Halo 1 pistil in snowbound. 12) [6:30 min in] Blood spray from head shot. More playlists being removed, ugh. It doesn't take THAT long to find games in these lists...especially rumble training. Keep taking away our choices, whatever. Just makes the game less fun each time you do.

Hey what ever happened to Team Action Sack and the others? I lost them like a month ago. Is this normal, or is something wrong with my playlists? Some help would be appreciated.

Wonderful.. First they remove Major Clanmatch. And now Big Team Battle is unranked and only has a max of 6 players... Half the maps are going to see very few games now because of this.

THis is why I love Bungie, LOTS OF UPDATES!!! I love you guys, but please tell us more about that chain gun, I cant wait to find out in May!!! Oh, what happened to the bubble shield we saw in the 1st Halo commercial. It looked like a grenade, but now its like a giant ball, or bomb sorta thing. [Edited on 04.13.2007 8:26 PM PDT]

lol i already know what the other X-button function is...as ive already said before on other boards...its used when carrying the flag/bomb/etc. knowing you cant use weapons when carrying them the X-button is used to speed up the walking speed of the chief as show in the vid when the asian guy carries the red flag and you catch a glimpse of his controller and what looks to be him tapping the X-button and then you see the bar on the tv in the center increase...unless a bomb AND flag game is going on at the same time....which i doubt >.>

I can't wait to learn more on this "Chain Gun"... I didn't think you actually pulled it off a hog because that would leave the hog useless. I do still believe it's the same gun though... just in portable form. Or at the very least another X button item. Perhaps dropable turrets you can use? Setup on the fly! Like that marine did in Halo 2's SP.

Wow this blows. Couldn't they have waited until Halo 3 comes out to get rid stuff like ranked Rumble and BTB Skirmish? I also noticed that the max players in BTB games is going to be 12! That sucks, cmon. Those of us that loved 8v8 Skirmish games didn't mind the wait.

Hmm Ive seem to have read it wrong, it will be an unranked playlist of BTB. God this game has gone to crap. Atleast the multiplayer. I guess they like to re live the past, screwed up the campaign, going to screw up the multiplayer. Well atleast the beta comes out next month...
