Bungie Weekly Update
Most of the [i]cool [/i]info was revealed on Tuesday in the Multiplayer Vidoc, but here's some stuff on matchmaking and more.

I have a few Questions, i read in the update that in the halo3 beta we wont have a full version of the after game save file. What exactly does that mean? What features will we have? I am asking because i run a Machinima clan and i was wondering what i will be able to do? thanks -Steve-

i dont get why they said they are getting rid of rumble training...what they really are doing is changing R-pit into R-training and big team.....why oh why must they take away my 8v8 games...thats the only ranked list i still have fun playing. they should at least make it ranked btb slayer/skirm combo that can go 5v5 to 8v8...because honestly, big team training (which is basically what they are doing to it) is going to be a joke

Somehow you've got to wonder why the population's getting smaller when you're removing all the best playlists and constantly do the wrong things to them. Bit of a no-brainer there huh? I have a challenge for Bungie, and anybody else that cares what happens to matchmaking- read through these posts. All of them- page one to five. Then, read the total amount of generally ignorant posts. Then look at the quickly slapped together "NOOO, not the ranks!" posts. Last, but not least, start clicking fricking gamertags. Click on them. I dare you. After this excercise, compare the total amount of ignorance, stupidity, pre-pubescense, and contradictions to the loss of ranked variants to the total players ranging over level 37, the number of non-linked gamers, and the total amount of 'brand new' tags. Now, if your rank exceeds of the extent of your skill, or your new tag is up and running after your three month died- and this means you, cheaters- divide the total amount your highest gamertag level by two, and then calculate the square root. That number, rounded to the nearest whole number is the total percentage of human brainpower you are capable of using. Divide that by two, and you have the percentage rating of how much anyone gives a rat damn what you think. GTFO, and go back to your homework. On the other hand, I should start noting every time a cheater jumps on to Bnet to say "if joo remoov ranket macthmaken, i want play Halo aymore." I could use them all as references for why the ranks should be removed. Plus, it generally proves the level of intelligence going on out there. Update: The answer is two definite cheaters, three possible cheaters, a ton of non-linked gamertags, and a sleugh of tags fresh to Halo within the past month. Social experiment made simplified for you. Oh, and one of those definite cheaters was mentioning being in the beta. [Edited on 04.14.2007 4:39 AM PDT]

pity about BTB, sounds like there's gonna be alot on this topic in the forums.... i liked the BTB objective games personally, It's only good when you invite friends and use teamwork, its so funny wining game after game because the other team just does their own thing... anyway Am I the only person excited about the new anti-cheat measures?!? I might even jump in later... Personally I'd scrap Rumble training to increase the density but PLEASE keep 8v8.... I don't see why changing it to 6v6 will make a difference, that's what most of the games turn out to be anyway... 6v6 then as usual 3v3 after 5mins as half them drop out.... fun... I don't care about rank personally, most cheat, and will even after this update... Can't believe it, the only thing that kept halo2 fun for me, was 16 player carnage... Will have to be reduced to LAN's like the days before I found Live... FRANKIE? Any chance of expanding on whether these lists are set in stone? Surely you have an opinion on the 8v8s?
