Daily Post Count of Employees, Ninjas, and Members!
THIS IS NOT A CONTEST
I've compiled some data, based off of recent posts, and compared the Posts Per Day (PPD) of some outstanding members of the B.net Community. Daily Post Graph of Various Members Bungie Employees - Achronos, Shishka Forum Ninjas - Recon Number 54, x Foman123 x, Yoozel, Achilles, Great_Pretender, stosh Members - SonicJohn, Ryaaan14, CAVX, Duardo Here's what I did. Look at someone's Recent Posts. If that person has 999, perfect, that is the maximum. Then go back to page forty, to the oldest post. When I made this graph, on August 1, 2008, SonicJohn's oldest post, out of 999, was on July 6, 2008. That means that in approximately one month, he has compiled 1000 posts. That's about 35 posts every day. I used the same method on other members, listed up there, and created the graph, located above it. I created the graph on Excel. The data I used is below. As of August 1, 2008. Name - Oldest Post - Days to get 999 posts - Posts per day Achronos - 11/8/2007 - 268 - 3.73 Shishka - 10/10/2007 - 298 - 3.35 Recon Number 54 - 6/26/2008 - 38 - 26.29 x Foman123 x - 6/16/2008 - 48 - 20.81 Yoozel - 2/3/2008 - 182 - 5.49 Achilles1108 - 1/21/2008 - 195 - 5.12 Great_Pretender - 1/17/2008 - 199 - 5.02 stosh - 11/23/2005 - 984 - 1.06 SonicJohn - 7/6/2008 - 28 - 35.68 Ryaaan14 - 5/11/2008 - 84 - 11.89 CAVX - 5/3/2008 - 91 - 10.98 Duardo - 4/21/2008 - 104 - 9.61 Hope you enjoyed this! •
Posted by: x Foman123 x It's about quality, not quantity. This is a good measure of forum activity, and I do NOT think that any of the users currently listed are spammers. But at a certain point, it could become obvious that users are posting useless one-liners or spam rather than actually contributing. I would not be in favor of tracking this on a large scale or automatically for all users; you KNOW how it is with gamers -- when they see a number that looks like a "score," and they can manipulate buttons and keys to increase that score, it's like the little mouse in the laboratory who can't stop pressing the button to get more cocaine. Quality over quantity.
QFT, isn't it usually food not cocaine? but this is probably why i hardly post, its either private group forums or im only watching over the forums and i don't post because the question has been answered or it just really isn't worth it....
