Special Q&A Today!
For this week's update, Frankie and I are going to take questions from the field and answer them online in a psuedo real-time chat format using the Bungie.net forums. Things are bound to get a little hectic but we think it will be fun.
The first thing we need people to do is ask questions! You can do that in the news forum - easily accessible by clicking the "discuss this story" link at the bottom of this page.
Before you ask your questions, keep these points in mind:
1. NO QUESTIONS ABOUT CAMPAIGN or the STORY! (we won't even acknowledge these questions)
2. Don't spam and ruin this for everyone. We'll be banning people.
3. Questions about life inside Bungie, the final crunch, Alta's haircut, the Beta, etc.. are all fair game.

Ok, some questions. 1. Will you include an option in Multiplayer to have infinite ammo on all guns? I hate playing rockets and always running out after 4 shots. 2. Easy, Normal, Heroic, Legendary. Will those be the four game modes? More modes or less? 3. If not xbox live co-op, will you please at least include system link co-op (with voice support!) Please! Thanks for your answers Frankie!

1. Why was the Rocket Launcher Warthog taken out? I know it's in the E3 builds but I read somewhere that it wasn't put into the game, just the LAGG and Gauss turrets made the cut. Just wondering why. 2. How many people can someone host on an average 384 upload connection? : ) Side note: Congratulations on the Wedding and the crunch hell will be over soon, hang in there! (Thanks for all your hard work.)

I have a couple of questions. First off, will it be possible to still customize your controls to Southpaw or Legendary, as well as will you also be albe to change your button settings? I have 4 xboxes set up in my house for LAN activity; will I be albe to log on to Live with all four of these machines at the same time? I do understand that I'd have to probably have 4 separate xbox live accounts on all four boxes, but I am interested in knowing whether I could have all 4 boxes go on Live threw the same connection, yet play separate games on all four boxes or even together in different combinations. I currently have broadband cable modem from Comcast, and my upload is about 256, but I have a butt load of download. Oh, one more thing, I noticed that you would be able to hook up 4 people on one xbox and go on Live. Is this done with only one xboxlive account, and 3 guests, or will it require 2 xbox live accounts with a guest a piece. I hope you understand my questions, and look forward to playing the game that will change the way gamers play. !NuklZ!

I have a question about how players will find games on XBL. There seems to be a lot of confusion about a couple of things since the media blitz last week, specifically concerning the ability to have open public servers. In Optimatch, will we be able to search for ranked and non-ranked games? And if not, how will players find a non-ranked game of someone that is not on their friends list? Thanks for your time guys!

Are there any cool new multiplayer options or gametypes that are significantly different from the ones found in the original game? How do you guys decide something is "done" and ready to be shipped... through some crazy mathematical formula that rivals only the Myth b.net rating system in complexity and arcane magic or with a more subjective taste testing; determining that with a pinch more salt it can be served to that rowdy table which keeps demanding more and more appetizers. Speaking of arcane mathematical rating systems, how does the new level system work. Is it possible to go down in levels, rewarding time spent with the game more than actual skill? If no players of your level can be found will it put you in games with a range of levels? Will there be any rewards or new emblems or something to go with players of higher levels?

How will the no health bars work? Do you die when your sheild is gone? Or after one hit when your sheild is gone? It seems more realistic to just have health bars... By the way thanks for answering the questions and doing and awesome job with Halo, lookin foward to 2!

Is there the option to add health in MP or is it completely removed? Are all (revealed) weapons in SPC useable in MP and vice versa? In team games, are players shields always the colour of their team? Is there the option to change your shield colour?

My turn. 1) I was also going to ask about online co-op. I wanted to know if was going to be there, because lots of us really really wan't online co-op, even if it is with 2 players only. It isen't that campaign related, is it? *prays that it make it into the final game* 2) The ATV was cut from the game, but will we get to see it in action in our special edition Halo 2 copy? Im not talking about driving with it, but if there was a movie or something that would show it. 3) Computer & Videogames mentioned in their Beta impressions article, that the Phantom was ind the game. Is that the case? Because nobody else mentioned it. There was also another site with beta impressions, saying that the transport, snowhog, camohog was in the game. Is this true or not? 4) What is it about those "saved filmes" everybody is talking about. Can you save record of you mp matches? That would be really awsome. Btw. im from Denmark, and wan't to know about the local Halo 2 ambassador thing. But not a single soule wan't to tell, and everything is top secret. I already know the answer to the qustient, so just skip it :P (unless its not what im thinking;))

is the covenant carbine the covenant sniper, or is there another covenant weapon that is the sniper. many screens show a easily covenant weapon that is similar to the carbine but definatly is not the covenant carbine.

Since bigger vehicle boarding requires you to hang on the side, is it possible to actually have 6 people hanging on the warthog since it has 3 seats? (1 driver, 1 gunner, 1passenger and 3 boarderss) thanks babe . . . . .

Will power ups (camo, overshield, or something new) appear in the final multiplayer build of Halo 2? Also, are all of the weapons useable in multiplayer useable in Campaign mode?

What was the covenant weapon w/ what looked like needler chambers in it in the screenshots posted last week? How will the banshee secondary fire and boost function be mapped on the controller? Will we see the needler turret alluded to in Halo FS?

PHYSICS - I have read in several reviews of the demo that the physics reactions to splash damage and grenades are a lot more stingy (it scares me to think that). What is your opinion? CLUTTERED UI- Will there be options to turn indicators on and off in multiplayer? The screen is too cluttered as it stands right now. Thanks!

Ok, this update is going to be kind of confusing to follow, especially when I won't be around to watch it get actively updated. So my question is this: will the questions you choose to respond to and their respective responses be posted somewhere in a clear, easy-to-read format after the day is done? Or will I just have to go galavanting about the thread to find all the answers? Either way, it's gonna be great, but it would be nice to have an easy place to go for the info in the end.

I'm from Germany, and I wonder whether there'll be an english language "soundtrack" (voice etc.) on the German Halo 2 discs. Halo was all-german here with no option to change the lanuage, which was kinda sad to me. So, will I be able to play the game in English with my German PAL version of the game or will I have to import a disc from the UK? Thanks in advance for maybe considering to answer my question. ;) Carlo
