•
Posted by: Jonolche May I ask how that would improve Halo 3 by letting everone download it. The idea of a beta is to fix the kinks and bugs. Look at it this way, this time around Bungie was nice enough to let us participate in the Beta. They did not have to do this. If you want to complain about fairness, well my friend thats tough luck.
Great another suck up to this kind of crap. Anyway back to my point...fix the kinks and bugs...? Theres problems they shouldve fixed on Halo 2 but still never did. Too busy fooling around with an already sorry optimatch playlist. Plus in my opinion what good is giving it in the form of a contest to those who are desperate for anything of Halo 3? Everyone who is fool enough to play the worthless waste of time called Halo 2 for yet another 3 hours isnt an active supporting gamer. The ones who played the game on a fair level and helped the community by trying to rid the online community of cheaters for the past two years and still continues to play are the active supportive gamers...not some 13,000 people just desperate to play it. Plus if everyone has a brain they would just be smart enough to get gamefly and rent the crappy game called crackdown and just download the beta that way instead of killing myself for 3 hours playing Halo 2. You have no idea that when that contest starts wether or not the people will just not even play the game but just go in a game...not care and just commit suicide or just do something to hold them over for three hours. Its pointless to hold such a worthless contest. Just have everyone download it so that everyone will give their opinion and their experiences with any problem that should occur on the beta.

 •
Posted by: Jonolche If you want to complain about fairness, well my friend thats tough luck.
This is not a compotetion. This is a really nice offer. That I hope I get an invite to be apart of it. This is still a free country nobody is twisting my arm to go buy craptown. Besides once H3 launchs, nobody is going to care wether or not I played the beta. I know that when somebody tells me that they played the beta. and they use it in a rude way.(and you know who you are) I am going to be like wwhhoopty frikin ddooo. [Edited on 1/5/2007]

The reason why you are paying for Xbox live is so when the retail version comes out you can buy it like everyone else and play it on xbox live. And yea you are limiting the feedback, however you are also limiting the time it takes you to read all of the feedback, which is a good thing. [Edited on 1/5/2007]

 •
Posted by: LetThemEatWar Limiting the numbers of people that can test the beta is the stupidist idea that I've heard in a long time. Not only are you going to piss off your fans and possibly lose certain individuals from purchasing the game at a later date you are limiting the amount of feedback from the beta from a large and *free* testing audience.Time will tell.
I agree. Limiting the number of people is retarded. If they want to improve Halo 3, make it downloadable on Xbox Live, that way everyone can play it. WTF do they have to make it into a contest for? You should have the freedom to play games along with everyone else, whether or not you've registered on a website or bought a game or not. If not to play games with friends and download games, WHY ELSE AM I PAYING FOR XBOX LIVE? [Edited on 1/5/2007]

 •
This will not be a sweepstakes or a random drawing but will instead focus on active, supportive members of our community and people who are actively playing Halo 2 on Xbox Live and can provide us with the feedback and test cases we require.
Why do I get the feeling thats a bunch of bull? Ok yeah getting those who are playing Halo 2 for three hours on there wont be the active supporting people you need to make changes. Its just people who are desperate to get their hands on a game thats hopefully better than the crap known as Halo 2. You forget about the people who once loved your game and used to play it every chance they got. For one I am not wasting half my life playing a worthless game that doesnt have anything fun in it. Maybe if you put unranked SWAT and Team Snipers I might actually play your game once again. I think every one should get it esp. those who reported cheaters, who played fair matches and played a game that was once the greatest game ever. I am sorry but I am not wasting another 3 hours playing it when I played it for two years since launch, and I am not getting a crappy game like Crackdown just to play your new Online Demo.

 • I am confused about this, as is my friend. Is this something that you download and play at home or an event that you go to?

I'm not impressed how good stories released by Bungie tend to become sour over time. I hope this isn't any indication for the final Halo 3 product. Time will tell.
The reason the Beta is limited is to BUIILD HYPE. D'uh?
Build Hype?!?!? you don't need to build hype. It's Halo 3, it doesn't need hype and if it did then commercials are the better way to go not limiting a Beta.

I know I have 2 account this HerbyOwnsYou account and my old one named Lucifous and was just curious if there were those in the community that have played this game as religiously as I have.

 •
Posted by: oo LOKI TOKI oo I didn't bother with the xbox rubbish, decided to hold out for the playstation3! It's gonna be fantastic. But i'm concerned as i'm a european player. Will i be able to download and play the beta version on my playstation 3 being a european player. P.S I heard the rumour the chief doesn't take his helmet off is cause it's george bush. Frozen in time for many centuries, our misunderstood 21st century world leader, has being thawed out to fight a new WMD. George Bush an unlikely yet intrepid hero. Bungie if you are looking for script writers for the up and coming Halo 4, i am available. Resumes on request. ZenoM0RPH, do you think the crackdown release could be as serious and dangerous as the arnold schwarzenegger movie "Jingle All The Way" without the hilarity or comical results. This is serious we have to stop this. There will be mass riots in the streets and arnie will be pounding heads for as many copies of crackdown he can find. ZenoM0RPH you contact the pentagon and warn them, i'll contact George directly. I just hope they haven't frozen him yet, let's pray we're not all too late!
err no, To put it bluntly, u don't like xbox you wont be playing halo 3. And quite frankly you have all the humer of a door nob. [Edited on 1/5/2007]

 • Crackdown looks good. Like GTA set in 200 years from now. But Halo3 will make it sell by 450% more. Good idea by MS and Bungie.

 • I have not seen that last picture before, does anyone know if it is screenshot of a multiplayer map or a screenshot of the game? As for getting into the beta I am not too keen on buying crack down but I am not sure I have much time in feb to spend playing halo due to work. like a few said already, crackdown better not be a waste of money.
