I set all of the settings at maximum (which requires over 2 GB of VRAM), and it was really pushing my SLI GTX 670s. It made Metro 2033 look like a walk in the park in comparison.
Really? What resolution are you on?
1920x1080. However, that's also the resolution that I ran Metro 2033 in as well. The game was still playable, but I certainly noticed it was somewhat "chugging" in some areas.
I get like 120-200 FPS on Max Payne 3 with my single 670, there's no reason at all you should have trouble running it at that resolution, especially with two of them. Metro 2033 sometimes goes to about 40-50 when you go outside, but that's only if you have AA and everything else turned up all the way. I find it hard to believe that your two 670s have trouble running either of those. Hell, they'd be more than enough for 2560x1440.
Just shows how well optimized MP3 is...
