Halo 2 Graphical Bug on 360
I was playing halo2 campaign on my 360 and I noticed that some images get burned into the screen. I snapped pictures of the arbiter's silhouette, burned into the left side of the screen. One of those bigger forerunner robots also got burned into the screen.

Whether the Intercooler or not is worth the money, if it actually cools your Xbox 360 to a considerable degree (pun not intended), and if it extends the life of your console is up for debate. However, this is one of the many emulation glitches you will face with the Xbox 360 playing older Xbox games. I doubt if Microsoft is going to do anything about it, so we'll just have to deal with it.

(besides when playing a regular xbox game the 360 is really quiet)

Oh yeah...and the overlay...don't forget the overlays of maps on some maps. Usually I see overlays on Lockout. I've seen ghosts of Zanzibar and Headlong when I'm on Lockout, whether I've played those two recently or not. I just had my 360 repaired (it kept freezing). The freezing problem is gone, but I still get the mist disappearance on Lockout and I just noticed an overlay of Headlong while on Lockout the other day, although not quite as noticeable as it was before. I'm sure it's an emulator problem and not one that has anything to do with a processor or hard drive problem because I still notice the differences LordNewt mentioned, like the water being deeper. Maybe they will find a way to correct the emulator eventually. It's really not bothersome, just an interesting graphical enhancement and/or abnormality.

So if you want to use it use it at your own risk. On topic: I have a 360 and have noticed a few things so far with graphical glitches. [*]Lockout = The mist disapears but snow remains meaning i can see more of the level [*]Warlock = The water appears to be deeper (water on any level appears to be deeper) [*]Warlock = Some textures on the map are not loading [Edited on 12/12/2006]

its not the 360 problem. I also have noticed the problem becoming few and far between. Of course, MS releases updates for H2 on 360 at least once a month, so that may be working on fixing it. Play Backwash on an un-XBL 360, or shoot at an invisible player, and its almost like the 360 is going to framerate lag itself to death, while my 360 plays does these easy tasks, well, easily.

It's a problem with the 360's software emulator, don't listen to anyone who thinks that your 360 is broken or it's your TV. It will happen to anyone that plays on a 360.

Yeah, this happens to me almost everytime i play Uprising. It happens on other lvls sometimes too, not always but every once in a while. Mine sometimes goes away if i save and quit than load it up again.

u dont need a new 360 its just a problem with most hd television screens when you play videogames on them. Thats why they made a fade screensaver on the 360. This also mostly happens with plasma's and less with lcd's.

I am not sure about you guys, but my 360 used to do this a while back, but lately it has not done this at all. Maybe, just maybe, after a while of playing, the TV and the 360 become immune to the defect that you are seeing.

Yes, microsoft can't be bothered to fix the 360 emulator, but they can be bothered to make new Halo 2 maps only for the 360. Funny that.

if it ever happens, just have someone from the other team shoot you once and jump off the edge... And make sure that when you are turning off ur 360 to sign all the way out, to the press start screen, and then go to the Dashboard before shutting it down. Pressing the power button or using the controller ingame has adverse effects... (especially during an XBL game, where it looks like you were standbyed out to your teammates.)

does it look like a white overlay of the thing/map that you are playing? (like Lockout in MP)? If it does, find the nearest cliff and jump off (I'm serious, this happens in Delta Halo, I just do the tank launch glitch thing for fun, and when I spawn back the thing is gone.) There is a death zone ("fatal falling damage") area on almost every campaign level... So try that first.

this happens to me ALOT on lockout, i get a pic of headlong with a elite jumping burned on my screen i had a giant pistol burned on my screen on sacred icon b4 aswell, dont know how was a giant pistol tho lol

I'm almost 100% positive that something like his has been discussed before. Other than that I would reccomend that you send Achronos a PM. He know's alot about that stuff.
