What in the heck happened to Jason Jones?!
Is it just me, or did Jason Jones, co-founder of Bungie and director of both Halos, suddenly fall off the face of the earth?! Did I miss some weekly update in which Frankie or KP mourned his death? Was he fired? I mean, if he is working on Halo 3, surely SOMEBODY can still say, "Well, Jones continues to make excellent progress on H3, but we can't tell you anything more than that." WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO HIM??? He's still listed in the Bungie Team section of bnet, and everything is still classified, as it was before. If you know anything, or just have guesses, please post them!

Yes, [i]Microsoft[/i] owns [i]Bungie[/i], not Jason. Jason is simply the Founder of [i]Bungie Studios[/i]. I'm sure he is still in the position of "[i]Project Lead[/i]" for Halo 3. -Akjak

For whatever reason Senor Jones doesn't insist on being seen or heard, Inside Bungie -- The Team could use some information other than "Classified".

He's still in the position of Project Lead for Bungie. He cannot be fired because he is the principal owner of the company following the departure of Alex "The Man" Seropian. I would assume that "The Dude" is just really secretive, seeing as how he has had a major hand in writing for the Halo trilogy and some, if not all, of Bungie's other games.

Maybe he already ascended to a higher plane. Wait, no, he's not a god...yet. Actually, I'm sure he wakes up early in the morning, goes to work, looks over the progress being made for about 14 hours, and goes home. If so, thats a pretty dull job. But maybe I'm wrong, IDK.

The last I spotted him was at the VideoGames Live! concert at the paramount last year. I walked up to him at intermission and made ass of myself. But I did get him to sign my H2 Soundtrack later. :) [Edited on 11/26/2006]
