I had made a post on the xbox forums in the Halo 2 section. If it get's enough attention, I would hope it would get attention from some people higher up.

Like many other users I was deeply saddened when I learned that Microsoft would be pulling the Xbox LIVE support for the original Xbox titles. Halo 2 was of course included in this abandonment. Unfortunately if you're like me when you signed onto Halo 2, you were required to update the game. This then caused the DLC to become corrupted for some unexplained reason. It asks you to re-download the maps but unfortunately Microsoft had taken down the map packs from the in-game content download menu, leaving many users inaccessible to play the Matchmaking system on Halo 2.
At this point I only see two possible solutions.
1. Microsoft re-uploads the Halo 2 map packs onto the Xbox Live Marketplace. It makes no sense that content that many users paid for should become inaccessible OFFLINE after April 15th. When you purchase the rights to play the DLC for Halo 2, you should expect to be able to continue using the DLC even after online support is disabled for LANs and split screen games.
2. If Microsoft won't simply re-upload those maps onto the Xbox Live Marketplace, the only other option would have to rely on Bungie removing the requirements on the Matchmaking playlists to have the map packs. While this would solve the problem in playing the game online, it doesn't resolve the problem in being able to access the map packs after April 15th.
I have spoken to two supervisors on Xbox Support (1-800-4-MY-XBOX), they said they would be monitoring the amount of calls that they receive in regards to this problem. If you're in the same situation as me and can't play Halo 2 online due to this corrupted map problem, CALL THEM and demand to speak to a supervisor once you gt a hold of an agent.
Someone, either Microsoft or Bungie, really needs to step up and give their consumers what they paid for, before the service goes offline. I must say that I am deeply disappointed in Microsoft's decision. It just goes to show that I can no longer trust this company when it comes to digital content. If this issue is not resolved I will be canceling my Gold subscription to Xbox Live.
Feel free to discuss or post other possible solutions.[/quote]
