The most logical use for the "X" button: (w/ diagram)
Press "X" for picnic table manouver.
Imagine it: An elite is rushing the Chief, energy sword blazing in the night. The Chief, clip empty, slips out of cover and charges the Elite. At the last second, as the ELite roars his challenge, the Chief leaps into the air, and turn into a picnic table!
The manouver is of such epic proportions, the Elite's brain undergoes nuclear fission on the spot, boiling his flesh away, before disapearing in a blinding flash of white.

ah rite spanner to my theory then lol. but still it wont be something new i can probably assure, because there are the same amount of buttons on a 360 controller as there are origional. therefore either it simply replaces the actions of a white/black button or we lose a funciton. the later wont really make sense due to Halo's creditied gameplay and well thoughtout controlls.

But then you need to stand on the picnic table, making Chuck Norris come from fear that you will fall, then he rouldhous kicks it, (the abillity to destroy a planet is insegnifigant next to the power, of CHUCK NORRIS!!!!), there is a blinding flash and, in the next instant, there in a lone grunt in a white room smoking shrooms with an umpa lumpa. The grunt sticks the umpa lumpa 2 times with the same nad making it implade into kittens and penguins. I am not being sarcastic. OK, mayby I am.

You know it would be really funny to actually see this in game. with the #D graphics and all. I think they should put this in as an easter egg. The power could be gained in single player by collecting the "lets have a picnic" skull. (can only be found on ledgendary)
