Hello everyone! I am SICK AND TIRED of people thinking that the Halo: Reach game engine is not brand new. IT IS BRAND NEW! How can you say it isn't band new when it's pretty much different than Halo 3's game engine in virtually every way possible? Bungie has LIERALLY gutted the Halo 3's game engine to the bone and improved almost EVERY SINGLE ASPECT of it. It's not anything new and they do it with EVERY SINGLE ONE of their Halo games (except Halo 3: ODST, which is just an expansion pack to Halo 3 and uses the same game engine as it). Look at the following screenshot and tell me that the game engine is not brand new:

Exactly... And don't even say "the game will not look like the trailer," because the trailer an actual CUTSCENE from the game and Bungie even said that it would look NEARLY IDENTICAL.

GOW, and MW2 have very similar looking grass. and the normal maps? what are you talking about? the bumpmaps or the texture mapping? or are you refering to the rather empty area they are in? as for bumpmaps look closer, the spartan's arm looks like it is made up of a couple hundred pollies because of the super detailed bump maps. as for texture mapping, it looks fairly detailed, with scratches for the armour, and variation on the ground and for the area surrounding, it is open, barren and desolate. seems typical actually, and mood setting, but if you look around it's quite well made. with the partical clouds making the dust move with a virtual wind. two seperate wind sources causeing a realistic reation under the aircraft. and tangible looking mountains. it looks great
