Pokemon X and Y announced!
Pokemon X and Pokemon Y announced for 3DS
Nintendo has announced Pokemon X and Pokemon Y for 3DS, the first handheld mainline Pokemon set in a breathtaking 3D world, for a worldwide release in October 2013.
The game features new starters Chespin (grass), Fennekin (fire), and Froakie (water)

Man i just want a game were i can play as the "Bad" Factions I would throw all my money at Nintendo if i can play as Team Plasma. they were the only "bad" faction that seemed to have a sort of good morals but it was a bit corrupt as most members were full of morally questionable psychotic thugs that are doing it for the money.

[/quote] Nah, they still need to release a pokemon wii U game because unova sprites do not exist for stadium type games. They will begin developing one I am sure. There will probably not be a gen VI if this information is true. 20 new pokemon. Might be evolutions that some pokemon need to be stronger.

I've seen too many hype trains crash and burn not to be pessimistic. This is a ten minute Nintendo Direct so I'm betting on a Wii U/3DS Pokemon Waypoint app where you'll have a pokedex and trainer profile. Now when Gen VI is finally announced I think Nintendo may do something different. Rather than having Pokemon X and Y for the 3DS you'll have Pokemon X on the 3DS and Pokemon Y on the Wii U just as how they're doing this with Super Smash Bros 4.

I've never played Pokemon nor do I plan on playing it. Doesn't mean I don't like the series though. :) I'm interested to see what's coming out this time around for the franchise.

If what you say is true, then all of my money if going towards a 3DS and that game. I'd still prefer a Ruby/Sapphire remake, but this -blam!- sounds awesome.

My only doubt is that it appears to be gen 1-4 which is kinda a step back but with the 3Ds there is technical constrints and gen 4 was the last to feature an eveelution so at least it makes sense along with the image I seen earlier of Evee with colors of all the Eveelution around it but two colors don't have a matching Evolution. I will try to find the image.
