Halo Reach: Kill Streak Rewards

Ok, you know how in Modern Warfare 2 and other Call of Duty games once you get a certain amount of kills you get a Kill Streak reward? Ok, now lets put that in Halo: Reach. For example. You get a 1 kill streak. Your radar comes on. But it only senses moving targets. You get a 3 kill streak. You now get an Enhanced Radar that see's all targets, moving or not.(Enhanced Radars only last for 60 seconds. Then they revert back to normal.) You get a 5 kill streak. A Hornet comes and shoots the enemy with bullets. You get a 10 kill streak. A Hornet comes in shooting bullets and explosives.(Hornets only last for 45 seconds.) You get a 15 kill steak. You are now the gunner of the back of a Pelican.(Pelican bullets are be stronger than the Hornet's.) You get a 25 kill streak. You can call in one of those Covenant Ships that Glass planets. But instead of glassing an entire planet, you can use coordinates to make the beam hit a certain spot. The beam isn't big. But there good enough to take out almost any form of infantry. And you get o use it 3 times maximum. And then you get a 50 kill streak. And a MAC blast from orbit hits the planet and we all go BOOM. But the game doesnt end. it just kills everyone. Just some brain storming ideas. SUMMARY: 1 KillStreak - Normal Radar 3 KillStrwak - Enhanced Radar 5 KillStreak - Hornet 10 KillStreak - Hornet w/Rockets 15 KillStreak - Pelican Turrent Gunner w/Explosive Rounds 25 KillStreak - Covenant Ship w/ Three Strikes 50 KillStreak - MAC Blast from Orbit + Full Ammo for all weapons you pick up. Til the end of game. EDIT: The Halo Community are a bunch of douche bags. [Edited on 12.18.2009 9:09 PM PST]

  • A "killstreak" system would be difficult to implement not technically, but to make it fit into the halo style. Spartans are already equipped with almost everything they need. Their armour is already integrated with HUD, so making the HUD motion tracker a reward doesnt make sense. Making it better temporarily doesnt make sense either, how can a Spartan get a better HUD by killing other Spartans? Another thing is that if you get Killing Sprees that usually mean you are proficient in using different weapons, vehicles, terrain, etc. so you shouldnt get any bonus to enable you to keep going. They should just be for status like they currently are with awarding medals. Bungie should take it further by making unlockables in terms of visual customization. I think the person who gets a 25 killing spree should at least get some new icon unlocked or detail for their armour. Imagine if you're such an epic veteran at getting killing sprees with melee, that you unlock the combat knife? Have the knife give you a bit of a lunge / lock-on like halo 2 and 3 melee but the regular melee have no lock-on like in Halo CE. THen when you get a certain amount of knifing killing sprees unlock different patterns to carve into your visor? Or you're good at getting a lot of headshots with a sniper that you are rewarded with some cool camo details for your armour? Halo Reach doesnt need to rip of the mechanics of CoD, it can add to Halo 3's level of customization to make multiplayer better and make Spartans more individual.
