Why couldn't Gandalf teleport Frodo to Mordor?
I don't understand, he is a freaking wizard.

1. Gandalf can't teleport. 2. If they tried flying in on eagles, they'd get spotted miles away and killed long before they made it near Mordor.

Trying to fly into Mordor with Sauron still alive would be too risky, practically a suicide mission.

The eagles really have some idea that helping contribute to changing the world in some crazy way is not their job, and they wouldn't interfere with it. I don't really remember the whole history though.

Gandalf isn't really much of a wizard in the first place! He uses his sword like 99% of the time. Still...favorite movies ever.

Gandalf's powers do not include teleporting. Even if he could they would probably be part of the powers he isn't allowed to use.
