I ask this because the girl's PE teacher in my school, (who is quite high up in the school) asked me about a month ago if me and some of the boys would like to perform a song in front of the school during the christmas assembly. We have now decided on this and our drummer is going to mention it to her on Monday. (I'm the guitar player).
I'm kinda nervous but I'm the one who's really been pushing it as I think that it would be really good. Our first practice is next week.
So Flood, how do you deal with pressure infront of crowds?

Never really have been in front of crowds.
Posted by: ABotelho Rockin' taste in music.
Thanks. I really dictated to them that we'd do that song. I just wasn't going to do the regular cheesy -blam!- people usually do.

I tend to speed talk in front of a crowd, but that's about it.
Posted by: Raptorx7 I just have the attitude of getting it over with, it helps if you are very invested in what your doing. In my PA English class (first year college English course in senior year of high school)we had to give 4 speeches over the course of the year and i consistently made sure i had topics i was interested in. It helped a lot and it turned out i as much better at speaking than i was at writing about the topic.
I'm the same with my English speach. I don't know why I'm nervouse bcecause I smashed my English speach with an A*. I always just get a bit of a faster heartbeat before getting up there. [Edited on 11.30.2012 1:45 PM PST]

I don't feel the pressure you are talking about.

Rockin' taste in music.

The hard part is getting started. Once you do, it's not so bad.
-
Get a bit of eminem on the go before hand, then you're ready, feel the beat within you, let it take control. Once you start you won't stop
-
I just pretend I am the only one in the entire room, usually helps.
-
I just view them all as friends then I'm more comfortable.
-
I don't deal with it. Both my body and voice start shaking uncontrollably. It's bloody annoying, I tell you.
-
For band concerts at school, I used to get really nervous . But then I got used to having to appear in front of my school, and by the time the SSP came around last December, I was fine with it.

I don't really care, I may be slightly nervous before, but once I get up in front of everyone I don't mind it.
