To the guys talking like women should not be hit: There are two schools of thought. One says that women are inferior, and should never be struck, because they can't handle it. The other says that woman are equal to men, and should be treated as such. I am definitely the second here. She threw a punch like a man, she can take one like a man too. The problem is that he hit a CUSTOMER, not a woman. But he was defending himself, and I hope a jury finds that too. Its unfortunate that some woman cost him his job, as I am sure the transit authority has a zero tolerance policy.

I'm not saying everybody who posted on this thread got those intentions, however one thing I'm not "assuming" is the fact this wouldn't have been a hot topic if it was a guy hitting another guy, or a girl hitting another girl.

I think it might have been though if the hit would have still been as powerful as it was. You have to admit that was a strong hit.

Yeah she hit him, but she wasn't attacking him or threatening his life. When she done that he should have took her by the arm and throw her off the bus. I'm not saying this because she was a woman, and women should never be hit. I just believe that violence is never a proper or a mature way of going about things. The whole "you punch me, I punch you" crap only makes things worse when you can prevent the fight altogether.

She went up and smacked him, which was obviously wrong on her part, and then moved away. He was in no danger when he got up and decked her. As another poster said, this was just two assaults, not a case of self defense.

But if the man defends himself, in my book her has the right to. I know I wouldn't sit there and get punched.
