What is your opinion of this person?
-
45 years seems extreme, but she should not get her daughter back.
-
45 is too long. 10 I think is a fair sentence because she has nothing to look forward to when she gets out of prison.
-
I'd give her somewhere around 25 years instead of 45, but whatever.

There is no lower life form than someone who abuses children.

Ugh. Decisions are so hard. On one hand Rehab could really help and the way she grew up really played a hand in this. And what she did was also monsterous... [Edited on 10.10.2012 10:35 PM PDT]

"A 23-year-old Texas mother". I stopped there.

As for not living a normal life, I'm doing fine. My aunt, who went through even more hell than me and just as much hell as my mother, has a loving husband, good children, and an amazing life. She doesn't ignore or hide her past, but she's accepted it and moved on. Even forgave her father before he died. She doesn't let her life traumatize her, or ruin her future. Same for my life.
Posted by: Im SteelAssassn
Posted by: MadMax888 She should'a aborted. Would have save a lot of people a lot of time, money, and anguish.
Had a mother just as bad. She wanted to abort me. And, um, kinda glad to be alive, thank you very much. And, um, kinda glad to be alive, thank you very much. And, I don't care about this mother's past. It's no excuse, and I would give no pity to her in court because of this. My mother also had a terrible life. Her sister shared the same hell. One chose to struggle through the pain and make a good life for herself; she holds the family together and is the most loving and honest person I know. On the other hand, my mother chooses to use her past as excuse to make bad decisions and bring pain to other peoples' lives. She could be a better person, but her own decisions make it worse. Both of these womens' past is no reason nor excuse to be horrible to their children.

Looks like she'd be a monster in bed, and that is all.
Posted by: RageSnipa96
Posted by: XRevelationX Ex gang member who started smoking marijuana at 11? Why are these people allowed to reproduce?
Why do you include marijuana? How would that make her a bad person, at all?
Doing drugs. At the age of 11. Drugs. It's in the article. If she did marijuana at 11 what did she do at 15? 20? dumd
Posted by: coolmike699 My opinion is that I hope she spends 45 years in prison.
And that's why you'll never be a judge or anything remotely related to the justice system.

Step 1 cross the border Step 2 glue daughter hand to wall Step 3 ??? Step 4 jail
-
She also is quoting The Elephant Man? Edit: That is "I'm not an animal". Whoops. [Edited on 10.10.2012 9:13 PM PDT]

To hell with her, the kids will be better off at a foster home. Quite sad to be honest, she deserves to be punished, hudting a two year old like that over potty training!
-
Thats horrible

MineNameIsCharlie to the woman who glued her daughter's hands to a wall after kicking her: Yes, you are indeed a monster. And you belong in a cage.
Jocelyn suffered bleeding in her brain, a fractured rib, multiple bruises and bite marks, and was in a coma for a couple of days.
So... a monster? Why is this even a question? You know damn well that if this was a father, the case would be over before it even reached court.

What do you think now?
I don't care if it's a woman or a man in this scenario. Either way, bad parenting/childhood is to blame. I don't think what she did should go unpunished, but I also don't think locking her away for 5 decades is going to make a difference. Her life already sucks. There's no reason to ruin it further. Fix the problem. Sending her to jail is avoiding it.
