Wouldn't half the things on Earth be centrifugally bound to Earth on the side that's facing whatever direction it's heading? And wouldn't the other half fly off?
-
We all die.

We'd die from that alone.
I'm no biologist but I'm pretty sure a human's circulatory system can function with a reasonable amount of normality in the absence of gravity. I think it's more dependent of pressure.
But without gravity, there would be no pressure.

I am in the exact same position until I create some inertia.

If there was no gravity, (assume inside with a/c off) wouldn't everything just be in the same position as when gravity was on? Also, it seems like that would negatively affect our body, since the human isn't designed for no gravity. Oh, and we would all die fairly quickly since we would no longer orbit the sun, so we would float off elsewhere.

I die.

No gravity would mean no atmosphere, which would mean no life.
-
well first i feel elated at finally being able to know what sitting on the ceiling feels like. then i die along with everyone else.

I interpret that it means that there is no longer any gravity period. The connections between atoms would therefor weaken, or disperse entirely depending on how strong the bonds are between the charges. Oceans would no longer have anything keeping them stuck to the planet, and the hydrogen-oxygen bonds would most likely break away. Atmospheric pressure would also disappear because the Earth no longer has the ability to keep it there, making it vent into space in moments. God, I don't really know how to explain well enough.
Posted by: Mind Reaper 771 The entire Universe collapses, meaning that I'm dead.
What?...No...the universe expands even faster. Anyway, all the stars explode which will kill us all assuming we're not already dead from floating off into space.
Posted by: Postwarbean85
Posted by: CrazyT In the atmosphere, dying.
No gravity doesn't make your float up... I don't know where people got that idea.
He's technically right He'll be flung off the earth with the atmosphere because he'll be moving at the same linear speed that the earth is at that point but now in a straight line because gravity is no longer providing a centripetal force.
-
Posted by: Mind Reaper 771
While a lack of gravity would essentially doom every single "large" thing in the universe, and the universe itself, the Human body and other similarly-sized objects have such weak interaction with gravity that it is essentially irrelevant.
