...they keep calling women of rank "sir." It is seriously that big of a pet peeve of mine. Any of you have this issue?
Just to clarify since most of you do not know. Women officers in the US military are referred to as ma'am.
Posted by: Gioger I think it's just what the military does is SOME countries. I'm pretty sure we call Ladies "Sir" in the American Military.
I'm pretty sure I've addressed every female officer I've ever seen as "ma'am."

That bothered me too but I just assumed that apparently that's what they did in the military.

I dont like it but i still want to watch it.

I agree with you full-heartily, but I'm still going to be watching it.

Really? THAT'S why you can't? It has nothing to do with the show starring a cast of twelve year olds?
-
....this is true. And they do this in the military.

I keep on falling asleep.

The U.S. use "Sir" to women sometimes. We also usually say "Ma'am. I know it's funny, but it's the truth. [Edited on 10.06.2012 7:53 PM PDT]

I refuse to watch The Davinchi Code in its entirety because there's a chase scene with a smart car.

Oh you. OP. You're bad.
