What is Wrong With Cartoon Network?

Have you guys ever clicked by it anytime in the past year or so? Really, annoying orange cartoon? What the hell is wrong with the new cartoons; they should bring back shows such as Tom & Jerry, Johnny Bravo, etc. What are your thoughts on the strange new cartoons?

 •
Posted by: Halofreak60175 Even if they are just decent, they are much better than what nostalgia drones give them credit for. While they're arguably not on the same level as the shows many people here grew up with, they certainly have some level of quality. I'd certainly take these shows over crap like Doug anyway.
Agreed people do discredit most of those shows simply because they did not grow up with them.

Yes, the Annoying Orange is a terribad idea for a show. •
Posted by: HundredJono You obviously didn't have a awesome childhood then.
Not at all I thoroughly enjoyed all the shows you named and more which you did not name. Though we all have to grow up and realize what things truly were. Using the "You didn't have a childhood argument" is and will always be a pathetic excuse to back up your opinion. The main reason for that is because that is going into insults instead of good reasons why a show is good or why a show is bad. I have stated in another thread like this in the past why a lot of those shows in my eyes are bad. Though to compare with the shows that CN currently has they are about the same there really isn't much difference. Saying they are horrible just means you are being nostalgic as mentioned earlier ITT.

If you think that your list named most of them clearly you are lacking enough knowledge to participate in this discussion. Since CN showed more than 16 shows in the early 2000s. Though that aside I could choose to go another route in this argument which is bashing the glorious shows you named. I can easily pack apart most of them to say why they are not good and why some are beyond terrible. Though personally I choose to not do that seeing as it would most likely lead to people hating on me.
You obviously didn't have a awesome childhood then.
Good God, this is why every reasonable person hates nostalgia drones.

 •
Posted by: bred Nothing, you grew up. Also Tom and Jerry sucked, at least for me, I hated it as a kid, same with Johny Bravo.
Was it a certain rendering of it or was it in all forms? I think that the modern Tom and Jerry is bad compared to the older episodes (mainly because in the newer episodes the humor is gone and the original feel of T&M is gone.

 • People who grew up with now discontinued shows will almost always dislike shows that replace them because the new cartoons do not stimulate them in the same way as the shows they watched as a child. If you watched Tom and Jerry as a kid and loved it, when you grow up whatever show replaces it will be crap in your eyes since you don't experience that same feeling. It's an almost unavoidable feeling. I feel it myself. ... TOM AND JERRY FTW
