Where are/were you in your high school social class.

My high school didn't have as many clicks as I see in high schools today. Every group had it's links into other groups(damn whores), but as far as I was on the food chain, I usually hung out with with popular kids. But I took turns on the weekends surveying between the party bashes the popular kids threw/or I threw, or hanging out with some guys from my church or something. I was just curious to see where the people who are die-hard Halo/ internet users ranked in their school. P.S. If anyone remembers, I said a couple weeks ago I was going to propose, and I did. She said yes. :)

 • I'm probably closest to the class clown, but a surprisingly smart class clown that can fit three hot dogs in his mouth.

 • I was a jock, but I hung out and was friends with a pretty diverse group of people. I was good friends with my football/baseball teammates and was also pretty close with some of the people in my AP courses.

 • Semi-low. We're losers but not the lowest of the low.

 • I'm going to a new school this year....and I only knew 2 people going in. So I've had to start over in this "social class." I don't talk much....at all.....but some people have gotten to know me...and vice versa.

 • Things were pretty backwards at my school. I was a band kid, and we were one of the most popular groups.

 • I mean... I'm known to be funny, but I'm not a class clown. I'm smart, but I'm not honor roll. I've got friends, but not a ton. Popular kids tend to not hate me, but I'm not really friends with any. I do try to avoid being a social outcast, I'm definitely not on the bottom. Upper Middle Class of High School Hierarchy probably describes me. Maybe Lower Upper Middle Class.

 • Middle class. Social enough to go to parties, but not popular enough to go to the "popular" kid parties

 • My school doesn't really have defined cliques (football/baseball/lacrosse/basketball/etc. players in our 200 man choir, stuff like that) but my group is pretty much the average Joe's. I talk to some of the jocks and get along with them and they're nice to me (at least not the full-on douches) and my group isn't ever made fun of or mocked. I also have a ton of average friends and I definitely am not near the bottom of the totem pool and I'm not ever messed with. The lower guys still consider me a friend because I'm nice and talk to everyone and only have one enemy but otherwise people mind their own business with my group and me. Party-wise I get invited to parties and my group has some of our own but I'm not stupid enough to go to the jock parties (which are busted just about every time) [Edited on 09.23.2012 10:31 PM PDT]

 • I was the guy who hanged out with anyone. I pretty much didn't care about that stuff. People tried to put me into groups but again I just didn't care.

 • I was a stoner. So, I'm not sure who was in the social class in my school, nor do I think they knew who I was. Different circles, so to speak.

 • I didn't really exist among any specific groups. I was just kind of the shadow that walked around the halls and haunted the rooms. Most people didn't care to take much notice of me, and the people that did either ended up being friends or associates of mine, or avoided me out of fear. Overall, I was fine with that. Never felt the need to have many friends as long as the ones I had were true. And the fact that people were afraid of me kept away any with weak hearts. I wouldn't want to associate with them, anyway.

 • I'm the person everyone knows because I stabbed someone in the neck. I'm the person who everyone thinks is dumb, then gets a 100% on all my tests. I'm the person who doesn't really talk to anyone, but I keep my friends close. I'm the person who doesn't really have any enemies. I'm the person who watches the immaturity of today's society from afar; I will never call someone out on it though.

 • Well, just to inform you: Click = onomatopoeia Clique = group of similar individuals. Thought you ought to know. As for my OWN clique, I was in the misfits/nerd group. We were the smartest at school, we were the most diverse in background, and we were the strangest. Every day was a strange adventure. However, popular was one thing which we were not. Not that it bothered us, of course. We didn't want to be. We enjoyed having fun rather than being in high social standing.

 •
Posted by: Psychotic Undead
Posted by: bergXX09 Well at least the Flood is making me feel unique and different than many of them.
Hm, how so?
Well it seems us middle-of-the-roaders are the minority here compared to the crazy weird kids at school who play Magic or Yu-Gi-Oh during lunch and debate politics loudly. That or that kid who doesn't really have friends, clearly has knowledge of and visits 4chan, and "assassinates" people by sliding his pencil on their neck. My group plays recreational sports together (football together, we also make an indoor soccer team), some play for the school on varsity (I would play soccer but it is impossible to get on the team), we play some video games but it doesn't define our lives and we have grown very far apart from them, and we aren't considered socially awkward or anything. Of course, not trying to belittle anyone here. I understand how that is how some people are and we all have our own personalities and interests. Unfortunately our society likes to have norms set and people are considered lower if they are weird or different. Edit: Nvm I'm not even that different, half of the people here seem relatable in some cases. [Edited on 09.23.2012 10:49 PM PDT]
