343i has balls, Bungie does not
I've been pretty skeptical about Halo 4 ever since it was announced, but now I'm convinced the Halo franchise is in good hands.
343 has added more to Halo 4 than all the Halo games combined. (that was an exaggeration). They are, however, taking risks with all the new features they are adding. What has struck me most is the new infection gametype. I've always wondered: Why doesn't Bungie just add REAL infection mode? It's because they take the safe route and they are uncertain of their decisions.
Halo Reach, for example, was (in MY opinion and many others) a disappointment. It seemed like Bungie wanted to add new features, but they were scared to go too far. Armor Abilities and Bloom are not terrible, but I have always felt that it was never their true intention to add those features. The whole game felt... it just didn't feel like something Bungie would do. Halo Reach was bad because it was moderate.
Bungie, don't disappoint me anymore.

Bungie best NOT be making an MMO. I can't follow them if they do. I guess I'll still read up on the lore. But, OT, I agree that 343 are pushing the franchise more than Bungie did. Reach was their swan song; the game they said was what they've always wanted Halo to be...and yet they never seemed to take it to somewhere incredible. I always felt like Bungie was missing a trick (that goes with the main trilogy - in spots - too). Halo 4 is what Reach, as their last Halo game, should have been. 343 are achieving astonishing things, and breathing so much new life into the series. [Edited on 09.21.2012 3:20 PM PDT]

[/quote] I want to see the proof of that. Even still, neither of those developers have track records like Bungie. Guerilla makes killzone right? How often do you see their name pop up? Bungie has tons of conversations going on about them, without them even having to officially announce their new game.

But they were a lot more comfortable with Halo 3's core gameplay even though they added things like Support Weapons and Equipment. 343 is also taking risks, and some look great and others not as much. In Bungie's defence...they are making something new as opposed to sticking Halo which will almost certainly make them a profit. That takes balls.

I'm 99% sure they ARE NOT making an MMO. Why would Activision Blizzard want an internal battle over MMOs? They want Whatever Blizzard makes on top. That is IF it's subscription based. If this mmo is on consoles it wont be considering Xbox users already pay for gold and would no way pay another subscription on top of that.
