Headphones: Is one side (left) louder than the other side (right)?

I have "Sennheiser HD 203" Headphones, and it seems like my left side is a little louder than my right side, although I could still hear it. It seems like my left side has more Bass or something. Is this normal? [Edited on 09.19.2012 12:02 AM PDT]

  • Your left ear is better at hearing musical stuff. Could be it?

Wiggle it. unless your referring to audio coming from either side of your cans. A lot of music does this with stereo speakers and headphones. [/quote] I don't know... My left side just seems louder, but my right one sounds loud, too. I could still hear my right side, it just feels like my left side is a little louder than my right side, like it has more bass or something like that. Maybe it's my computer, so maybe I should start checking it with my iPod. [/quote] That's a good idea, it might just be some weird levels from your PC regarding stereo headphones. It might also just be your head -blam!- with you, because sometimes I get that feeling as well.[/quote] I thought I was deaf, then I took my Headphones off and everything sounds normal to me, left and right side of my ears... Maybe it's the songs. Maybe it's my computer's settings for my Headphones. I don't know! [Edited on 09.19.2012 12:33 AM PDT]

I have to say, they sound about right, although my right side seems just a little louder this time (barely notice it). When I switch it to the normal way, the left side still seems a little louder than the right... Maybe it's the song. I don't know. Maybe I'll check it out with my iPod in a little bit, 'cause it sounds exactly like my car sterio; One side (left) louder than the other side (right). [Edited on 09.19.2012 12:22 AM PDT]

  • It might be your cord. Wiggle it. If that doesn't work, return them and get a new pair if they're still under warranty, because that means your right speaker might not be connected properly, unless your referring to audio coming from either side of your cans. A lot of music does this with stereo speakers and headphones. [Edited on 09.19.2012 12:04 AM PDT]

  • Pretty sure my right side has more bass.

  • Most music is designed to send parts of it to one side of headphones/speakers. In many cases the base does go to the left.
