• For those having trouble with the torrent, use GameFront instead. Took me less than an hour.

Go with the torrrent, it worked for me. If you don't know how, download a torrenting program (I use mutorrent), go to the mediafire torrent linked to you from the Black Mesa site, click the link of mediafire, click ''open with'' and choose your torrenting application.
I have Vuze. Will that work?
I've only ever used mutorrent, but Vuse appears to be a similar torrenting application. Give it a try.
Thanks to you and Pheonix Phire. :D

Let me get his straight: you have the three files, and you run the setup.exe (without previously unzipping the 3-4 gig file), and then what goes wrong?
Problem with the gamefront one is that I don't think it gives you the setup.exe, or it's compressed into the unopenable 7zip files. -scratch this, it actually gives you an installer dl link, but the link doesn't work [Edited on 09.15.2012 11:17 AM PDT]

 •
Posted by: theshadowstriker I'll try that, then. It took me six hours because my internets hates me.
Yeah, same here. If you CAN use a torrent though, I'd recommend it (if you know how to torrent). It would probably go faster.
Some people can't use torrent. I can't use torrent at my university because the U network bans all torrents and torrent software, because they might be sued for pirated content. Probably the same case with this dude.

 •
Posted by: el3phants I gotta say, these guys did an excellent job of bringing the original half life to the source engine. If It wasn't free, I would've purchased it.
You will be able to buy it though....I think.... Black Mesa is one of the 10 games coming to Steam from Greenlight. I'm assuming the reason why you would have to pay for that version of it is because it's stand a lone....but really.....so is the mod. DOesn't make much sense to me....but whatever.
