The Mail Sack is here to save the day!

Let's open the Sack. As for the challenge, guessing at Bungie Lore won't be enough. We want to see your problem solving mojo. Team up if you will, but a winner is just a guesser without documentation of how they solved the puzzle.

 • I think we should start with the relevance of each picture. First - [ Four in a Literal Septagon ] Obviously the septagon but the relevance of the 4 is lost on me. Second - [ Half of a Cuckoo Clock ] Not sure. Third - [ Angle ] It has a HALO over it's head. Fourth - [ Bungee Jumper ] Obviously BungIE Jumping Fifth - [ General Patraeus & a G note (in the Treble Cleft) ] - Not sure. Sixth - [ A Green Apple ] - Bungie originally made games for Apple Computers. Seventh - [ Phone with Banana as the Receiver/Talker Thinger ] Webmaster is a Gorilla, Gorillas eat bananas. [Edited on 09.15.2012 9:44 AM PDT]

As I mentioned, they're all related to each other, but they all have something to do with Bungie, albeit in a devious way.
Number two:
http://i.imgur.com/WVMDf.png
May be useful, along with this
I don't think the inversion/overlay is the way to go, but highlighting the numbers and letters definitely helps for now.

Flipping them upside down like that probably isn't the best idea seeing as they seem to be in order for a reason. Though anyhow, we need to at least just find a basic correlation between all of the pictures. Also, I'm still not sure to look at the Apple as Apple Comp or The Big Apple (NYC). Still not sure what Petraeus G has to do with anything.

 • I could be wrong but it could be about the sequence of numbers and following its path while crossing off the letters as you following it. Like the images. There are five letters in apple. Maybe follow a path of 1 - 5 crossing out any letters that goes through it and see if it spells anything? [Edited on 09.15.2012 9:20 AM PDT]

 •
Posted by: Kalriq What if the answer to this puzzle is the same as the creation of Bungie's name?
Then we'd really never know if we got it right. Unless someone can actually figure out the pattern that needs to be looked at in this puzzle.

 • Hmm.... the clock picture could mean "time left", since it's the left side of the clock.

Also, did we ever figure out why there's a Bungee jumping picture in the puzzle? [Edited on 09.15.2012 9:14 AM PDT]

Also, searching "General Staff" repeatedly brings up nothing, but in music, there is a Major and Minor staff, which would make more sense. [Edited on 09.15.2012 8:46 AM PDT]

 •
Posted by: CrazzySnipe55
Posted by: Unanimate Objec I think the note of "G" may have to do with Halo.
These are the tunings that are offered for the Halo Genesis and Halo Stratus for Batch Two. For Batch Two (and most likely, future batches) we selected a small number of tunings to improve our efficiency and to insure that every instrument we make sounds as good as possible. We also chose tunings so that each Halo has a Stratus that compliments it perfectly (and vice versa).
Linky Also, when I looked up 'Banana Phone', it said that a 'Banana Phone' can be a reference to a mobile phone, so Apple+Phone isn't out of the question.
Banana phone is a song from 1994. And it could be a Major G? Anyone with military experience able to look at that guy and tell if he's a major?

Wikipedia said: An officer of three-star rank is a very senior commander in many of the armed services holding a rank described by the NATO code of OF-8. The term is also used by some armed forces which are not NATO members. Typically, three-star officers would hold the rank of vice admiral, lieutenant general or in the case of those air forces with a separate rank structure, air marshal.
I zoomed the image in on MS Word, and I noticed 3 stars on the shoulders, so that's why I looked that up on Wiki Oh, it's confirmed a General? So I'm placing my chips on "General Staff". But what about the 4 at the top? [Edited on 09.15.2012 8:29 AM PDT]
