The link has information about all the Promethean Knight types, including weapons/shielding etc.
There is some blacked out text, highlighting that will reveal spoilers. Otherwise, the rest of the information is non-spoilerish and only tells you about all the Promethean Variants, so far.
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=41868216&postcount=18028
There are no immediate spoilers in the post, unless you go over the text. Note that is probably a moderate spoiler, similar to you finding out about the supposed "Ark" and Storm before Tsavo Highway.
The Knights are one of three subdivisions within the Prometheans.
Crawlers are basically cannon fodder to distract from the Knights.
Watchers are support units. They can shield knights, spawn watchers, resurrect knights.
Prometheans work together strategically.
Frankie's example of a Knight sniping him, he takes cover behind a column, Crawlers attack him by crawling down from the column.
Promethean weapons/equipment designed to fight Flood.
There are different variants of Knights, watchers, and crawlers.
Knight - Deadly warriors, use weapons like Light Rifle and Supressor.
Knight Lancer - Scouts and Marksmen, use Promethean Vision to locate hidden enemies
Knight Commander - Have skills of Knights, but can wield Incineration Cannons, stronger armor, Autosentry turrets
Knight Battlewagon - Rare but incredibly dangerous, huge frames draped in heavy armor and hardlight shielding, can deploy Autosentries, will wield Scattershot if you get too close. (Orange patterns through body and on face, orange spikes on back. Super badass!)
Watcher - Wield boltshots, summon crawlers, protect and resurrect Knights.
Crawler - Agile and move in packs, fire Boltshot from distance
Crawler Snipe - upgraded crawlers, no further details. I assume they keep larger ranges.
Alpha Crawler - Lead packs of Crawlers, has a Supressor
This is just details about the Prometheans, might be considered spoilers to some people.
This isn't all the information, just the non-spoiler one. There is more information if you click the link.
Remember the guy that owned the Master Chief at the end of E3? It could be the Commander or Battlewagon.

Another:
Frank talks about how the Prometheans are different to fight than what we are used to. He describes a battle where a couple Knights were sniping at him so he took cover thinking he was safe but then Crawlers crawled up over the thing he was hiding from and continued attacking him. The encounters get complex and varied. Knights can spawn a Watcher off their backs. Watchers can then deploy a Hardlight Shield for the Knight, revive dead Knights, and call in Crawlers. Frank makes it sound like he doesn't think there will be a go-to strategy for beating the game on Legendary.
Between these guys and the Covenant, should make for some fun encounters.
I doubt they would be exactly the same, although, you could be right if the body is mechanical...

I can agree on that...
Posted by: alex0612 So apparently, only the Humans are the ones getting assaulted, probably because the Didact has beef with the with them. Storm worships him, so he's trusting them, and letting them help be a fighting force. But the Question is. Can the Didact escape Requiem? And how will he use the Composer.
My guess is that the Didact will escape Requiem, but his Promethean Knight army won't (leading to Spops).

Regarding why the Prometheans appear robotic, I wonder if maybe the Didact was able to use the AI in the Forerunner combat skins to animate and control the corpses of the Forerunner soldiers (or just animate the suits themselves).
The current theory is that they are the minds of Forerunner infected soldiers who still wish to serve.
Oh, that makes sense. It doesn't explain why they're so hostile, though.
SPOILERS (not from the blacked out text) The Composer is a device that harvests "souls" and converts them into AIs. The Composer is also in the game, according to the achievements list. It would seem likely to me that the Prometheans are the remnants of the all Forerunners, who converted themselves into AI to become truly immortal (and uninfectable). So like what he was saying, but extended to the whole race. They Didact also doesn't particuarly like us. We killed his entire family, and indirectly killed his wife. But then there is also the possibility that the Precursors are involved. Dont like them using the name Knights, just seems abit unoriginal.

Basically, ONI has been instigating a civil war with the Elites, and are being dicks at the same time. Also, they did something quite hypocritical in the Thursday War, the universe forum has the thread if you want to know what it is.
