So, there's a buzzing noise in my Turtlebeach X12...

...and some ringing noise. The ringing goes bigger as I turn the "Game" volume box up. It's not really a problem since musics covered all those buzzing and ringing, but it's kinda annoying. And I haven't try it on the Xbox, I have been using it for my laptop for a couple of hours. Just got it yesterday evening. So, solution? Thanks a bunch guys. Oh and buying a new one definitely isn't an option for me. I get this -blam!- from Germany through a friend! Can't find Turtlebeach products here... [Edited on 08.18.2012 12:00 AM PDT]

  •
Posted by: Dogface1998 You mean that buzzing sound you hear when you turn either volume near full? Yeah I get that too.
I get the ringing when I turn the volume near full, but the buzzing shows up whenever I plugged in the USB Oh, and fixed the OP since I haven't use it for the Xbox

  •
Posted by: SHOTTY SNIP3R It's cause it's grounded. Try unplugging any controller chargers you have plugged in or get a USB or a mic plug with a magnet thing on it.. Sorry it's been awhile since I've owned a pair so I kinda forget the plugins.
What's this magnet you speak of?

  •
Posted by: Celticsgreen17 Its probably one of two things. 1. You have your controller charging in the play n charge kit. Unplug it and the sound will go away. 2. One of the cables that you are not using (I think there is an end you don't need plugged in) is either touching something metal or your shoe or something. Just move it and it should stop. Usually the buzzing sound is pretty minor fix. If these two things dont work then maybe a cable is damaged
Naah, I'm currently using it for my laptop and I plugged in everything. Guess it was the cable all along

When mine was busted, it made that buzz, and it all went away when I replaced that cord. You can get it for like $5 of TurtleBeach's website.
$5 isn't a problem, but the shipping man... THE SHIPPING! T-T
Do both ends look like the left one? If so, Radio Shack will have one. Also check other websites for "male 2.5mm to male 2.5mm"
Yeah, both looks like it... Well, thanks for the replies guys I appreciate it, but for now I'll just have to ignore it for a while...

  •
Posted by: catman6 Test this with another pair of headphones, could be whatever is outputting the signal. If not, it's either the volume box or the headphones themselves.
Yeah, definitely the headphones/volume box since my dad's old Phillips was doing fine. Goddamn. Mine has been doing that (I have X12s as well) since the day it arrived for me. I tend to ignore it.
