NOTE: I read the rules. This isn't political, as I'm not taking any side of a political party.
If this gets out of hand, however, I will close the thread, and erase the OP.
Calmly state your standpoint, why you have that standpoint, and respectfully listen/disagree with someone else's.
The -blam!- filter should not be breached, and there should be no hurt feelings from this thread. I merely want to know the Flood's standpoint on the matter.
I personally am strongly for it.
I see absolutely nothing wrong with it, and I haven't so much as glanced at the chick-fil-a since it was discovered they gave money to anti--blam!--blam!- organizations.
Love is love.
And if Chick-fil-a can say their opinion, and discriminate against -blam!--blam!-s, I can say my opinion and not eat there.
OP Lives in Dallas BTW

The question was
NCC10. Should couples of the same sex be entitled to the same government benefits as married couples of the opposite sex, or should the government distinguish between them? 58 voted yes, 38 voted no.
Where on earth did you get 6% difference from? That's like 20% difference.
My bad, looked at the question below it for the results. Though I stand by what I said, that question is poorly worded. There's no reason why they can't recieve the same benifits, while distinguishing between them.
Poorly worded? Please explain. I think it's pretty clear.

Teh puma is for marriage equality. If you're not for it, then step aside. No one is going to wait for you. If you're from the US, recognize this place was made to change. However corrupt our gov. may be (and it certainly is,) we made this place to change, and it will continue to change. Have your opinion, that is fine, but do not halt the progress of equality all together simply because your opinion is different.

I had a republican teacher this year and he did not share his beliefs with the class at all infact we went over real history. Talked about the presidents and there life's and all the wars like ww1,ww2,Vietnam. ur back in my middle school days social studies where all about how whites treated blacks wrong and how we should pay for why we did and how the troops in ww2 were cowards. Just wacky stuff like that. [Edited on 08.11.2012 1:31 PM PDT]

I'm for it. Mainly because denying rights based on -blam!-ity is about as justifiable as denying them on race or gender.
