Halo 2 multiplayer vs Halo 3 multiplayer
Just so everybody knows I am a major Halo fan boy and love all the halo's, except reach. lol. But I do really wanna know which one you guys think is honestly better and why. Halo 2 multiplayer or Halo 3 multiplayer. Which one has the better maps, guns, vehicles, gameplay ect... in your opinion. The reason why I wanna know this is because i have heard a lot of different opinions on this issue with very little consistansy and it bothers me. I have had plenty of people online halo 3 and plenty of my friends say that Halo 3 has the better multiplayer because its not as glitchy and the gameplay and maps are better. At the same time I have heard The exact same thing, but for Halo 2.
O and dont worry about talking about graphics I know that Halo 3 has better graphics but that doesnt matter to me. The reason being just because a game has better graphics does not mean its a better game/ more fun.
Please answer my question in as much detail as you can give. Thnx!!!

I didn't have XBL before 2007 so I couldn't play Halo 2 online that often. Therefore the best experience I had was with Halo 3. Still, Halo 2 was pretty damn awesome. Especially the maps.

Halo 2. Super jumps, BXR, BXB, double shots, quad shots, being killed by the guardians, capture the flag, and so much more. Halo 2 had great maps some of the best I've played. It was the go to game everytime I got home from school. All I wanted to do was arm the bomb, run like hell with the flag, noob combo and be yelled at for it. Great times, great times.

In terms of competitive play, Halo 2. If I wanted a more lenient experience, Halo 3.

Halo 3 had less cheating, but also had the slight problem of having a netcode that sucked dick.

What playlists were good in Halo 3? Anybody want to chime in? You name MLG but that was not ran by Bungie IIRC. Halo 2 was all ran by them and had great playlists (Team Skirmish). BTB was better in 2, small-mid size maps were far better. I can't think of any gametype or map combo that was better in 3 than it was in 2. The Pit CTF was obviously good, I'll admit, but it was one of the few that was fun. Nothing much else stacked up, especially to all the content and variety in 2's Skirmish.

I have more multiplayer memories from H3 than I do from H2, therefore, I prefer H3's multiplayer.

Halo 2 even though I didn't get to play it much at all online. Fun maps and it is tied for first as my favorite Halo game along with Halo Reach. Halo 3's was pretty eehhh. Maps were good, but the whole feel of gameplay seemed like they slowed down everything and buffed up vehicles to massive lengths.

Halo 2 had better pure matchmaking, but the community with its forge maps and custom games DEFINITELY makes halo 3 a bit more fun too me
