If Eazy, Biggie, and Tupac never died...

What would hip-hop and rap currently be like? Would young money and all those -blam!- "musicians" be in the game?

It doesn't matter who is listening, (even though I disagree with your statement) but matters what the rap is actually about.

I think a lot of the rappers around now would still be here, but maybe not as popular. I also think they wouldn't still be rapping, though. Maybe up until like 2010-ish.
Eazy-E, he wouldn't have stopped until his 50s, trust me.

 • Ugh! Why do people always say, "if 2Pac and Biggie were alive, rap would still be old school and amazing!" The evolution into today's mainstream hip hop is inevitable. Since 2Pac and Biggie were mainstream back then, their rap would have molded to what mainstream hip hop is today even though their songs would be clever and what rap is about. If these rappers were still around, there would still be Lil Waynes and Drakes. You people saying, "ERMAHGERD HIP HOP IS DEAD!" are only listening to mainstream. STOP LISTENING TO MAINSTREAM RAP IF YOU HATE IT SO MUCH. STOP PAYING ATTENTION TO IT IF YOU HATE IT SO MUCH. Keep calm and listen to these artists: Ground Up Joey Bada$$ [Edited on 08.05.2012 10:40 AM PDT]

 •
Posted by: ROFL Wolf1254 Eminem wouldn't be a commercialized poser. And Drake & Lil Wayne would be laughed at and shadowed by true rap artists.
[Edited on 08.05.2012 10:37 AM PDT]

 • I think rap wouldn't really be changed too much, I feel like they'd slowly become less competent. Look at Nas for example. He released Illmatic in 96' and that went down as the greatest rap album of all time. Now look at him, he's good but he could never top Illmatic.

 • Well if Eazy, Biggie, and Tupac were "true musicians" of their genre, then people like Young Money would be looked upon the same way some view Dubstep... Not true musicians. Of course they would still have supporters and haters. [Edited on 08.05.2012 10:31 AM PDT]
