Morrowind's is different then pirates and Oblivion is slightly. By speeding it up of course.
Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim have different renditions of the same theme.
Now I see that between Skyrim and Morrowind (some parts are direct transfers) but not with Oblivion. Would you care to point this out? And what about Daggerfall and Arena? They don't follow the TES theme and they are TES games.
Uh...sure. The theme wasn't established until Morrowind, as I've said. All you need to do is listen to the 3 themes and you'll hear their melody is exactly the same notes played with the same inflection. Of course it's not a copy-paste of the same theme for three games; no series does that.

If anything, Pirates stole it.
Didn't pirates come before?
Pirates came out a year after Morrowind.
Exactly. So if this is the same song then Oblivion stole it.
Uh, how? If the current TES theme, established in Morrowind, came out a year before Pirates, then that means Pirates would have been based on the TES theme.

I've noticed similarities. [Edited on 07.12.2012 11:20 PM PDT]

It uses a similar scale and interval structure for the melody, but I wouldn't say it sounds similar enough to jump to theft.
Posted by: II is over9000
Posted by: EchoGamer "He's a Pirate" is taken directly from Gladiator.
Same composer And no, they don't sound too similar to a trained ear. And the Morrowind theme is very different from the Oblivion theme, you should take that out of the title.
Yes, Hans Zimmer. I'm just pointing out it's silly to dicker over similarities in melodies, as even the mightiest of composers recycle them on occasion.

I've never made that connection before. I don't hear it.

Oblivion may have stole it but Morrowind is far from it.
