Cart-pushers, how does your job treat ya?

I have been working at wal-mart for the past month and a half, well lately I have been searching on the internet for the input of other wal-mart cart pushers around the country and well I cam to the conclusion that we all are treated like -blam!-. Do any of you on bungie work as a wal-mart cart pusher? If so do you like your job? and what do you think could make the job easier on you. (I ask because I have a lot to say on the matter but would like to hear what others think) Mods if I am breaking a rule please let me know and I will fix what ever rule I broke.

 • OP should form a union with other cart pushers and go on strike. They can picket for more equal rights and better wages.

 • Hey, welcome to work... It is not great but it pays for you -blam!- so stop complaining.

 • I had two jobs. I quit both of them because of armed robbery.

 • it's a job, and 99.9% of jobs suck. Even the better paying ones. Just remember if you are thinking of a career change, find a job before you quit. And besides it just seems like your high school job, I was flipping burgers at bk for $5.15/hr when I was your age.

It's a crappy job that puts a couple bucks in a teenager's pocket.

Every job has its pros and cons, and the con list is usually pretty lengthy. However, being a cart-pusher at Wal-Mart isn't exactly a glorious job that deserves to have all their complaints heard. It's a crappy job that pays the bills.

 •
Posted by: Deranged Cook1e My manager says not to push more than 5 at a time, but most of us push like 10. Its a decent workout to get the blood flowing I guess.
Yeah, until you lose control of that stack of carts and put a nice dent in someone's car.

 • I work at a grocery store. I push carts, bag groceries, restock shelves, and sweep the store floors. Pushing carts is easy. My manager says not to push more than 5 at a time, but most of us push like 10. Its a decent workout to get the blood flowing I guess.

 • That sounds like a terrible job. You must really hate the majority of people who just seem to leave the carts wherever they parked.

 •
Posted by: xGHOST270x Every now and then my managers will throw me outside when our cart pushers call in sick or something.... Thats what I get for actually putting forth effort in my normal job, and being one of the few people there that is in shape. I find it funny they never ask females or any of the other walrus' that work there to go push carts.... Same thing when they always call for males to do carry outs. I find that highly discriminatory.
Submit a complaint to management if you think you have a case.

 •
Posted by: xGHOST270x
Posted by: Kendzierski7 I push carts/ bag at a grocery store. The cart pushing made me realize how lazy people really are. People will just leave their carts wherever they want to, leave all their garbage in their carts, etc... I constantly see people one parking space away from a cart return and they're too lazy to put it there. I've also seen people leave -blam!- like half eaten food, dirty napkins, and even a dirty diaper once in their carts (they did put the diaper in a bag but still, wtf... throw that out your damn self.) Usually if I see someone leaving a bunch of trash in their cart or leaving it somewhere outside of the cart return I'll just give them the "are you -blam!- kidding me" look. Can't really do much else.
This. Every now and then my managers will throw me outside when our cart pushers call in sick or something.... Yeah OP, being a cart pusher isn't all that awesome, but its a paying job and you get a workout so long as you dont get lazy and use the mule.
I will agree with you on that it is a hell of a work out for your arms and legs. Plus I went from pasty white to a nice bronze tan in a month and a half under the florida sun on that hot ass black top

 •
Posted by: Toxifies
Posted by: NorbergK6 When I was 16 and working at Gamestop, there was this weird cart-pusher guy who would always lurk around whenever I worked with Erin. Everyone knows Erin.
