Halo 3 multiplayer server shut down
I hope i am not the only one who can see this coming. There has been rumors and talking about shuting down the matchmaking on halo 3, just like what happend to halo 2. Even though nothing has been confirmed, it is halo 3's time to go. Personaly, I would HATE to see it happend to halo 3, I still play that game once in a while becasue it is fun. I also have soooooooooooo many memories of that game. Halo 3 was the most popular halo, having the most players. I think it deserves to stay for a lot longer. What do you think.

1 ReplyThe only reason Halo 2's multiplayer was shut down is because the servers for the original Xbox were shut down. Halo 3 won't be shut down until the next generation Xbox has been out for a while.

Actually, Reach's servers run on Halo 3's and if I'm not mistaken, theres a little game coming out on this current gen called HALO 4!!!, so they would need to shut down Halo 3's servers if they need to shut down Reach's and 4's, which is super unlikely. Oh, and they shut off 2's servers because that generation of Xbox live service was holding them back. But this generation will never be shut down because of how ever-expanding and easy-to-use it is.

what do i think? to be honest, i see you as one of the other hundreds of morons that make these threads over and over again. You mention halo 2 yet you fail to realize that halo 2 was ONLY shut down because all of the original xbox was shutting down. -blam!- a, it's not that hard to realize maybe halo 3 will not shut down until another console comes out. IF that even.
