German court rules that procedure is bodily harm and contravenes right to choose religion in later life
Do you agree with Germany on banning the practice? Do you wish you had the choice of what you wanted to do instead of living with your parents choice?

Does the law just ban it being done at birth or without one's consent? Because there are certain medical conditions in which circumcision is the best or only treatment.

Besides the jews, who cares? Just take a family trip to Switzerland.

I am personally glad I'm circumcised. I wouldn't want that...well...uhm...there. I kinda find it disgusting. It's my own opinion. I don't really agree with the courts ruling. I definitely wouldn't want it done later in life. It would be much too painful. [Edited on 06.28.2012 5:39 PM PDT]

Do any of us actually live in Germany here? Well, there are probably a few but if you don't live in Germany and don't plan on living there, who the hell care about weather or not circumcision is legal or not in Germany?!?

The Jews are going to LOVE this... And FFS people. It's a useless flap of skin. It's not like they're chopping it in half. [Edited on 06.28.2012 5:40 PM PDT]

ITT: Dicks everywhere. Also, I don't think Germany has any right to ban circumcision.
-
As an American, I'm glad I'm cut. Women here, just because uncut is less common, frankly hate the sight of uncut.
-
>Jews need to be circumcised >Circumcision banned in Germany Somehow, I'm not surprised.
Posted by: SwagATron 5000 Im currently laughing at all you -blam!-s who are saying that uncircumsized dicks are ugly. Seriously? You do realize that anyone who isnt cut can achieve something that looks exactly like a cut dick just by pulling back the foreskin right? In fact, when you get a boner, the foreskin is supposed to slide back over the head. So It doesnt look any different than a cut dick in erection form. People are so ignorant
Actually it does look a bit different in the way that there isn't a ring of scar tissue below the glans
-
Well its a traditional thing for the Jewish. I can really get on the religious side since Im not fond of it. This then poisons my opinion so I dont know really what to think. However if Im going for gut instinct I say this a huge step forward.

That statement is thus referencing the little evidence/study of the practice. Which basically means, there is no hard fact that there are benefits. No profound studies have been done, just mere observations. The lower chance of urinary infections could be attributed to numerous other factors and may have nothing to do with circumcision. Until a viable study is done, it is just chance. At any rate, my stance still remains the same. When are you going to have a cut off for altering the body for potential for minute benefits.
I'd like to see a medical study that shows that there are NO benefits whatsoever, as you said in the original post I quoted.
Really? You're going to play that game. You're the one touting about some benefits. It's in your court to prove it.
My original was fine, but k Now, let's see yours. Since you seemed quite sure that there weren't any benefits.
Posted by: CIint Beastwood
Posted by: Double A Now Germans are gonna have weird lookin' schnitzels.
Isn't it actually the other way around? Americans dont seem to realize that outside of the U.S Circumcision is actually quite rare. By the world's standards, it is you people who have "weird lookin schnitzels"
