Bungie's X06 Announcements
Bungie has announced two new projects today at X06. The first is a partnership with [i]Peter Jackson [/i]and his talented crew to bring you another chapter in the Halo Universe. The second is [i]Halo Wars[/i], a real-time strategy game being developed by [i]Ensemble Studios[/i]. Get the scoop in the full story.

Is it just me or is there a supersized galactical piece of Bungie out there that actully came from the heavens above? The Halo franchise is just getting awesomer and awesomer!!!!

I don't like RTS's but if it has the halo name and bungie says its good im buying it. I just hope it dosent push back halo 3, if it does im going to be really mad at halo wars.

This new battle strategy game is already pushing halo 3 aside, people will no longer be wanting news on H3 but this Halo Wars. [By the way its got a very bad title, "Halo Wars" no imagination was used there]

halo wars video was better than H3 trailer, dont play stategy games. if it has something like third person or first person objective theme like halo 3 and 2 then i will. if its like oblivion type of gameplay i'll just avoid it. i can't get into those games.

This happens with all good games, they start of well and then this happens. Halo is a FPS thats it! Next Bungie will be making an adventure game where you run around as a grunt collecting flowers.

Good stuff Bungie.. Best Halo trailer that I have sean and I have sean them all. Even tho its Pre-rendered the folks at Ensemble have set the bar for Halo 3... Lets hope the Bungie team can do better or just as good. So far Ensemble has put out the Better Halo trailer. How can that be???

I'm Having Kittens over this. Halo Wars!?! Ohh Yes now we're talking. i saw the really early development shots of Halo: CE when it as a RTS...This Will Be Good. As For Peter Jackson's work....awooga! he spends all the time in the world on his projects and does not finish them untill they are beyond ready. excelent. keep the tasty trailers coming. Looks like Bungie gave Ensamble all the info they needed in order to build the RTS Timeline... however there are some small story errors ... at least in the trailer: Battle Rifles, the Spartan Armor (Should be Mark 4, but it looks closer to a modified Mark 6). Hopefully it will be cannon, as we need more pre-Halo goodness, but it will most likely take a few "liberties" so that the game is fun. As for the Graphics... the trailer is Pre-rendered CGI not in-game, so we don't know how well it will really look until we seen some screenshots. A Halo RTS, i think i need to change my underwear. Thankfully its a decent developer thats making the game and not EA (command and conquer was beginning to get a bit stale towards the end of the series). Just a thought for everyone who is into the books and sories in the Haloverse, is the plot for Halowars going to be canon, as the announcement said that it takes place early in humanity's confrontation with the covenant. Spartan Group Omega.....................maybe explain some of the missing spartans in the books. And finally, Peter Jackson's project, I'm very excited about this. between Halowars, peter jackson, Ghosts of Onyx, Halo3 and the halo movie i feel like my heads going to explode with excitement/frustration at the time its goin to rtake to see/read/play them all.

As a PC gamer, this is like hearing another PC gamer ask iD Software to make another Doom game for Windows 95, because they don't have a newer computer. Sorry dude, but X-Box is out, XBox 360 is in, and your not going to get bigger and better by putting hardware limitations on your game. The XBox 360 isn't that expensive in the grand scheme of things, start saving as much as you can, and you will have an XBox 360 before this game is released. Aka if you don't already have a job then get one, even if it is negotiating with your parents to do chores inside/outside the house for an allowance, mowing the neighbours yard, whatever. And everyone needs to remember that was a pre-rendered sequence, [i]some[/i] of what was seen is what the xBox 360 can render in real time, but most is not.
