Bungie's X06 Announcements
Bungie has announced two new projects today at X06. The first is a partnership with [i]Peter Jackson [/i]and his talented crew to bring you another chapter in the Halo Universe. The second is [i]Halo Wars[/i], a real-time strategy game being developed by [i]Ensemble Studios[/i]. Get the scoop in the full story.

Did I expect a Halo RTS (Halogen?)? Yes, I did. This early? No. From the god of all RTS creators? Not in the slightest. If this turns out as good as AoE2, I think I'll cry. A lot. Ensemble + Halo = zomg.

I thought I was going to have a massive heart attack when I watched the video since thxs to a graphical hiccup, I did NOT see the Ensemble word on screen. Now, the question remains... if this CG looks so amazing! Wouldn't you guys fear people would expect Halo 3 to look this good? What are your thoughts on that? thxs.

MS just completely wiped the PS3 off of the table as THE next gen console. I mean: Halo 3, Halo: Wars, Halo Peter Jackson project, Lost Oddysee, Banjoo Kazooie, Splinter Cell 5 (not Double Agent) exclusively for PC/360, Exclusive content for GTA IV and PGR 4. Add that to: Gears of War, Fable 2 (tommorow it will be shown for the first time) Forza 2, Mass Effect, Too Human, Crackdown, Viva Piñata and more, and you know what to buy! Ow and Halo: Wars will kick @$$! Ensemble made the best RTS ever: Age of Empires (2) and I love them. The other Halo project will also rock. I mean, Jackson is a true magician. Everything he touches turns into gold. He kicks @$$. Too bad there wasnt H3 news, but this is freaking awesome aswell!

I craped my pants when i saw the trailer ok so not litterally crapped my pants, but I got all choked up. I am so excited for the new games and my excitment grows every day with the coming of halo 3 I love the halo universe and now I know halo isn't going aywere for a long long time.

That was so freaking awsome. My jaw dropped. I'd rather have halo 3 come out on time, thats why I'm glad ensemble is making it. They rock so hard.

The only problem is that Halo 3, Halo Wars, and the Halo movie all aren't going to be released, or in the theatres, for a long time. But looking forward to them is sorta fun... This reminds me of 2003, waiting for Halo 2. And 2002... And most of 2004.. You get the point. Either way, at least they'll get here eventually!

Peter Jackson involved in a non-traditional, story driven, interactive game based on the Halo franchise... *stunned* This just keeps on getting better and better! but for now, bring on Halo 3 :)

that sucks for the HaloGen guys. But why give Enterprise the rights for a Halo rts, why wouldnt Bungie do it? They kick ass at it, as proven by Myth. Id be more excited if bungie was actually making it themselves.
