Bungie's X06 Announcements
Bungie has announced two new projects today at X06. The first is a partnership with [i]Peter Jackson [/i]and his talented crew to bring you another chapter in the Halo Universe. The second is [i]Halo Wars[/i], a real-time strategy game being developed by [i]Ensemble Studios[/i]. Get the scoop in the full story.

Woohoo! I have always thought that since halo has built itself up so well that an RTS would be a perfect addition to the series. Awesome....... just awesome. W00T!

WHoa.....I just got back from my school and now I see this. DAMN! I never thought Halo Wars would be an RTS game for a console! But I still think Halo 3 will be much better since it's a FPS and the gameplay and music are by Bungie Studios instead of Ensemble Studioes.

The Halogen guys were fools for thinking it was a good idea to use someone else's IP for their project. Every single time someone does this they get stomped on. It was insanely foolish of them.

Bungie stop allowing all this Halo -blam!-. I Just want Halo 3 and everything else is over. I'm a big Bungie fanboy, believe me, but, all this Halo stuff I'm going to dish out more money then ever. I've grown quite tired of Halo and I just want something new that dosen't have anything to do with Halo. I would recommend you guys put Myth on the XBox Live Aracde then Halo Wars.

2 words....BAD ASS AS for Halgen, was looking forawrd to it, but ensemble could use some of the renders from halogen on Halo Wars, with they're permission of cousre, still looks awsome.

What im trying to say is that bungie strayed away from the idea of a Halo RTS, and right as halogen begins to come to a finished product bungie decides to re-use an old idea? Come on you can't blame me for being a little suspicious. Everything is very strikingly similar, not just the fact that it's a Halo RTS. If Bungie and/or microsoft had been developing the Halo RTS as a seperate entity for the xbox 360 before Halogen was created, then why would they let halogen even start work on their project? And if the Halo wars idea came after Halogen then it's hard to think of it as original. Either way im sure that Halo wars(please PLEASE change that name) will be exelent. I haven't played age of empires or anything, but im sure that ensemble will have plenty of recources to make a great game.

AMAZING. The trailer looks very promising, hopefully it will deliever. In all honestly, I dont think we should be dissapointed about not Halo 3 info. We just got handed a better gift...we can now ask for info on three awesome games. Plus, wouldnt you rather be surprised by Halo 3's features?

So far we haven't seen anything else other than a pre-rendered trailer. Let's wait and see what the in-game engine looks like. The thought had crossed my mind that Microsoft would have a Halo-based RTS game in the pipeline, and that is the obvious reason why they put the brakes on the Halogen Project - just not that they'd announce their own RTS so soon.

Strategy game sounds k0ol. I'm not even gonna be able to play Halo 3 because once I get it and turn it on, I will have passed out.I want to see this Halo Movie so bad that I am like ripping out my hair and whenever i talk about it i sweat very heavily.
